Nice set design and puzzles, with a heavy emphasis on the story and plot. Wasn’t just a typical puzzle solving game due to the high story content but also did feel a bit slow at times. If you are interested in a more plot focused experience with more reading/listening compared to puzzles than I would recommend this experience!

Gameplay

There were lots of story elements that slowed down the pacing but overall it did flow well and followed the plot.

Story

The story itself was good and very much needed to solve a bunch of puzzles making it integrated into the game, but did feel a bit slow at times waiting for the story to progress. However had lots of story compared to the average room so was overall well integrated.

Difficulty

Medium

It can be much harder if you don’t pay attention to the story, but otherwise puzzle wise it wasn’t too difficult.

One of the most high-tech rooms I have seen so far with a beautifully designed interior and props. Definitely recommend this room if you ever travel to Japan.

This room is an extremely beautiful room with very pretty props. However, it is very heavily story based and requires lots of reading, which I didn’t find quite as fun. However, if you like a heavily story based experience, this is the one for you.

An interesting and beautiful room apparently designed by a popular Chinese team. It contained some of the most impressive tech we’ve seen thus far, with incredible use of targeted lighting and moving parts to maximise the use of space. Quite heavy on the story, which feels inspired by Japanese manga/anime or RPG games, so that is something players may or may not enjoy. It has a lot of Japanese audio with English or Chinese subtitles, and the written materials are provided in all three languages. Not ideal for immersion but we’re just glad there’s an English-friendly room in Yokohama. I hear they are expanding to Tokyo soon and will be interested in trying out their other rooms.
