I wasn’t expecting too much after playing a different game from Talking Tables (Dragon Edition), but this was a nice surprise. I’m a huge fan of Japanese culture and the fandom and even studied it previously. This game incorporates some actual elements from Japanese culture, though you don’t need to know any Japanese to understand any of it. The puzzles have a good complexity to them. Well, at least most of them do. Some are time wasters. You also have to have some outside knowledge to solve some of the word riddles. The materials are pretty good, and some of the activities will be fun for kids and families. I see there’s a bigger version of this game, and it is different from this one from what I can see. This mini escape room already felt like a big package for a decent price. Banzai!
