Played Astrologer and had a really good time. I liked that it wasn't just one puzzle after another. There were multiple things happening at the same time, so our group could split up and work on different clues instead of everyone standing around waiting. The mechanisms in this room were also really cool and definitely one of the highlights. One small heads up: there's one room where the floor moves a bit, which caught me completely off guard 😂. Also, don't rush through the written clues. We missed an important detail because we skimmed it too quickly, and once we actually slowed down and read everything carefully, the next part made a lot more sense. The old lady NPC was surprisingly convincing. I honestly couldn't tell if they had hired an actual elderly woman or if it was just really good makeup and acting. Her robe covered most of her, so I couldn't even get a proper look, which somehow made it even creepier. I'd recommend this room for around 4 or 5 people. There are enough puzzles that everyone has something to do, but it's not so difficult that you end up asking for hints every few minutes. It felt challenging in a fun way, and finishing it was really satisfying.

Honestly one of the best escape rooms I’ve done in Toronto. Astrologer had such a cool atmosphere and the puzzles were actually creative instead of repetitive. The room design felt super immersive and the staff stayed in character the whole time. We escaped with barely any time left and everyone was screaming 😭 Definitely recommend if you want something fun with friends.

Tried the Astrologer room at INBLACK Escape Room in North York and it was a great experience! The room was very immersive and the puzzles were clever without being frustrating. Definitely one of the more memorable escape rooms we’ve played. Would recommend!

nice atmosphere!

We played the Astrologer room as a group of four in the English version and had an amazing experience. The puzzle difficulty felt perfectly balanced—engaging and thought-provoking without being overwhelming—and the room itself was impressively high-tech, which really enhanced the gameplay. While it wasn’t scary, some areas were slightly dark, adding to the atmosphere, though the background music could have been a bit quieter at times. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. As a special touch, they gave us a loot bag for being the first group to try the English version, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The English translations were clear and well done, and we had no trouble understanding the instructions or storyline. There is a fair amount of reading involved, but it fits well with the narrative. Overall, the room and story were well designed, immersive, and a lot of fun. We would definitely come back to try the other rooms and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great escape room experience.

The set design and overall environment of this room are incredibly immersive, and the mechanisms are really cool. The puzzles aren't too difficult, and all the clues are very clear. It's also a completely non-scary theme. A friend recommended it as something great for adults to bring kids to, so we brought our little ones — and they were actually able to solve one or two puzzles on their own! The more challenging puzzles still gave the adults plenty to think about. I also want to highlight how amazingly friendly and patient the staff were. I know kids can sometimes ask a million questions, which can test adults'patience, but the staff answered every single one with such kindness. Truly a great experience for families.

Really sad that a company can’t stand on their own room’s quality they feel like they have to do this and make this platform worse - edit spring 2026** First 1/3 of the room was good, nice GM and live actor, some really really fun effects. The story just got really confusing to us and knowing the story was really imperative to knowing where you needed to be and what you needed to interact with in the last half of the game. So the GM had to direct us for most of the second half which really takes you out of it. Some extra indicators or use of lighting to direct you on your next actions would really elevate this room as there are some really cool elements here. There’s a nugget of something interesting here in terms of room structure, but the execution falls way short for it to be a fun experience by the end of it.
