The room has potential, but the game master turns it into a terrible experience. Puzzles that don't work, and an inattentive game master who wastes your time. I don't recommend it

We did the Jorógumo's Web room, which was quite different from what we're used to. In this escape room, the game master entered with us in character. The room was well decorated and had fun puzzles. We just felt that it was still in a more embryonic state, but maybe that's because we were the first to go. The theme is funny and unique and we hope the dynamic improves with experience.

Thanks for the feedback and for visiting us back one year ago, right when Jikai had just opened. Since your review was written now much later, some points mentioned refer to an early version of the experience. The room has been updated several times and is now in its third version, with remote game mastering, and all puzzles were replaced. At Jikai, our rooms are continuously updated rather than being one-time designs. We appreciate your early support and hope you’ll visit again to see how the experience has evolved.

Had a really fun time in here! The story was weird in a good way, plus both puzzles and decoration were really well done. There was a moment in the middle that really surprised us (no spoilers!). Some puzzles were different from what we’re used to, but that just made it more fun. If you like story-driven rooms with a tiny bit of horror, you will love this.

Some really interesting mechanics, a very interesting plot, but unfortunately it all gets bogged down by an overuse of bad number locks, things that are flat out not working and thing that are just too fragile for escape rooms - this room is practically brand new, there’s no excuse for the amount of broken pieces of set, if it’s too fragile to be handled, just remove it from the scenario. Some puzzles just didn’t work, and we had the game master have to come into our room mid-game THREE times because things just weren’t working (one lock even had the wrong combination, and he had to trial it to get it open - it was lucky we didn’t get stuck there) There’s at least one or two too many puzzles for a 60min room, or the game master didn’t manage the time well enough for us. I’m writing this down in the hopes that other people will get to have a better experience than us. Because there is definitely some good ideias in this room(the story and interactions are really good), unfortunately the execution still needs a lot of improvement.
