Cornstalkers: Lost in the Maize

⭐ 100/10 — THIS is How You Do an Escape Room! 🌽🤡 Cornstalkers at The Escape Ventures absolutely OVERDELIVERED. This wasn’t just an escape room—it was an experience from beginning to end. Let’s start with Giggles the Clown. Having a live actor incorporated into the game was GENIUS. We could only see his hands reaching through the wagon window, but his presence and interactions with us throughout the first half of the room added SO much to the experience. He was funny, creepy, unpredictable and constantly had us wondering what was coming next. 😂🤡 The set design was incredibly immersive. Every detail felt like it belonged in this world. There were moments when you almost forgot you were inside an escape room because the environment was THAT convincing. And the PUZZLES!! There are a LOT of them, and they range from challenging to “okay…what are we missing?!” You absolutely need the full 90 minutes. This is not a room where you’re going to run out of things to do. Then add in jump scares—which we LOVE—and moments where the group is forced to split up?! YES!! Anytime an escape room makes us separate, knowing somebody is probably about to experience something the rest of us can’t see, it immediately raises the tension and makes the experience so much better. And THE ENDING!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 No spoilers, but this room deserved a memorable finale, and they gave it one. The ending was exactly the kind of payoff an experience like Cornstalkers needed. We do A LOT of escape rooms, so it takes something special to really surprise us. Cornstalkers did that. Immersive set, tons of puzzles, live interaction, scares, laughter, teamwork, forced separation and a finale worthy of everything that came before it. Final Rating: 100/10 🌽🤡🔐 Cornstalkers didn’t just meet our expectations—it blew past them. I would recommend this room time and time again. If you love immersive escape rooms and don’t mind a little creepiness, PUT THIS ONE ON YOUR LIST.

Amazing set. Puzzles are good, atmosphere kept you on your toes the whole time. A good game for a large group.

The theming is what stands out about this room. Amazing set pieces. Puzzles were a little easier but I think that’s on purpose since it’s a scare driven room.

The only escape room I’ve ever repeated. This room is absolutely phenomenal in all regards. A true do not miss!

Oh my gosh!! This was SO FUN! It was so scary, but you kept your wits about you because there were so many fun puzzles around. The scare actors really make it even more fun; they are AWESOME. I felt like I was in a movie!!

Really enjoyed this room! The set and atmosphere are really good, and the actors are great! We had a lot of fun with them. The props worked as intended and flowed pretty well on game play. We did it as a team of 4 and felt like we all played equally and didn’t miss out on anything either.

Wow. This room was incredible. The immersion is one of, if not the best. So detailed and the actor immersion was fantastic. I’m not super into scary/spooky but this was a perfect ideal, we even asked them to be a little more chill but it honestly wasn’t that bad. Just very suspenseful, some jumpscare and scares with things opening and the actor coming toward you but he “played to our fears” and didn’t go crazy haha. Great music, incredible flow and felt like a full big story. The adrenaline definitely kicked in but was a blast.

My group all agreed this one has to be the best escape room we’ve ever done! The immersion was like nothing else! Live actor was phenomenal. Awesome variety of puzzles and all so unique and fun and fit the theme so well! We had a group of 6 and it always felt like everyone was involved and doing something. Also, I’m not big on horror, don’t generally love haunted houses and things like that but I was convinced to do this one and it was 100% more than worth it! Horrifying, I was scared shitless but finished saying DAMN that was good!

This room was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever interacted with. This is how every haunted attraction should truly be. The puzzles were a perfect balance of difficult and clever, but not overly frustrating. Genuinely a must if you’re in the area and have the time!
