516 escape rooms
My least favorite of the three rooms we played at this venue but it wasn’t -bad- and we had a good time. A couple of clunky puzzles and one very prominent ghost puzzle (operators, please take all the related props and clues out of the room if you remove the puzzle that those things refer to). But overall it was fine. If Morty had a “meh” I would choose that, but I only give a room thumbs down if it is really un-fun and this room was fun despite the glitches.
Gameplay
The puzzles are mostly good (see my note below about a ghost puzzle, though). One puzzle requires peering through narrow openings to see information and we found this very difficult to do accurately. A couple of the other puzzles are clunky, but you can see what they’re going for. The final puzzle is fine but a bit anticlimactic. I felt like they could have made that a bit more exciting / involved. But overall it was enjoyable.
Atmosphere
As far as “creepy house that you’re trapped in by a serial killer” sets go, it was fine. Nothing special but it gets the job done and they put some effort into the set dressing.
Customer service
Very friendly and enthusiastic staff.

Ideal number of players
3
Linear for the most part (a few things are parallelizable) with a couple of significant bottlenecks where you need specific puzzles to be able to proceed. So you don’t want too many people. It would be soloable but 2-3 seems about right.
Scary
Spooky
Dim room, blood on the walls, creepy noises, notes from the serial killer, etc. No jump scares. (One prop bangs open rather loudly but it is not in a place where it could hit anyone.)
Minimum age
13
There are no jump scares but it is an “escape the serial killer” theme. The sorts of things you might expect to find (blood, bodies, references to murder) are all there.
Was anything broken?
No
Nothing was broken, but there is a puzzle that they told us at the outset had been removed from the game, but it was still in the room — along with its clues and references and related elements. Either fix it or take it completely out of the room: there’s no excuse for just leaving it in there and expecting the players to figure out what other things they don’t need to worry about.

Physically active
Somewhat
Someone has to crawl (but only one person). The room is dimly lit (not pitch dark). All players are given flashlights; you may not absolutely need them but we found them helpful.
Accessibility
Not really accessible. You have to go down a narrow hallway to get in. The room itself has multiple nooks and crannies along with some furniture. I think it would be difficult to maneuver a wheelchair. One puzzle relies on color.
