Wow, what an awesome game! We were 3 players, perfect for the room. The puzzles were really fun to solve, and I loved the set's design.
Staff is always welcoming and always nice here!

This was the most impressive room I’ve ever done!! The digital effects were amazing!! The room itself was beautifully designed and it felt like there were so many fun puzzles. If in Boston this is a MUST!

This experience was SO FUN. My aunt and I went to play; myself having much more experience than her. We both had a blast! It was adorable from start to finish, without the puzzles being too easy or too hard. Hopefully I get the chance to return and play the other rooms at this location!
Gameplay was incredibly smooth; a testament to this room’s high ratings over the course of so many years.
A very immersive environment! The decor, props, and overall scenery was beautiful. Attention to detail was clearly taken into account.
Spoke with the staff at length prior to the experience. They are wonderfully friendly, and a joy to be helped by. We were running a little behind due Boston traffic, and called 30 minutes prior to let the staff know. They were super helpful and kind.

For myself, I would say easy-medium. My partner who is much less experienced would rate the room medium-hard.
High tech
Quite a few high-tech puzzles, but nothing too extravagant. All were very fun and not too tricky to figure out.

We played with just 2, which was totally fine! With a less experienced group, 4 would be best, but we escaped with plenty of time to spare. :)

8.7/10 After traveling several miles to get to Boxaroo in Boston and try Storyteller’s Secret, we can definitely assure you it was worth it. The set itself was extraordinary and really immersed you into the author’s world. This had to be one of the best “non-escape” rooms we have been a part of, with puzzles galore and a plot that lasted over an hour without becoming boring. We personally thought the intro video and hint system really stood out (even though we didn’t need to use many hints). Our only hiccup with the room was the repetition of using and doing the same puzzles (and some technical difficulties with a specific puzzle). We wish they could have added a new layer of something, instead of having to go back to repeat what we just did. Otherwise, between the storyline, design, and gameplay, this room rightfully earned itself a rating of 8.7 on our scale.

It is in the heart of Boston, so we parked in a parking garage a block down.

This was hands down, THE best escape room we have ever done. I cannot say enough good things about it. Not only was the set design and production qualify far above anything I've seen, but the puzzles were exactly the right difficulty. Challenging, without being frustrating. Each activity was perfectly themed to the room concept. The logical flow of one puzzle to the next was flawless. We were engaged and busy and having a ton of fun every second we were there. Nothing felt out of place, or tedious. The level of tech utilization was not only awe-inspiring, but it was perfect to create an adventure experience that felt so seemlessly fun.

I have never seen this level of tech in a room. But it wasn't over bearing, it was perfectly balanced to enhance the overall experience.

Not highly accessible. Hearing issues might be a problem, and didn't see any consideration for color blindness.

Really delightful room! Now my top recommendation for Boston. I absolutely loved how the puzzles layered and the space continued to have fun surprises. Great flow and variety. It's not the most challenging room I've done in Boston but it is the most memorable and enjoyable. There was simply not a single thing wrong at any point, and many brilliant and novel features.

This is not a linear room but it is a spectacular room! Our group finished in average time but didn’t break Neil Patrick Harris’ record. We crushed the first puzzle in the top 5% (2:29 vs the average of 6:19). If you love books, adventure, and teamwork, this is a must-try. The ore room tested us with tricky math, but the clever object reuses and adorable hint system made it unforgettable.

The room was fun and well thought out. It was really warm in the space with higher humidity. The tech in the game was fantastic but the theme was geared more for younger kids.
Fun! Cute puzzles!
