Cryptid Grove

This was my first room at Escape Room Herndon and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it ended up being really great. While some rooms aim for authenticity, Cryptid Grove fully embraces what it is; a fun, cartoonish escape game. I love authentic rooms, but well-done rooms like Cryptid Grove are a breath of fresh air when we come across them.

GRAVITY FALLS FANS this is it. It’s the room you need to do! So silly so fun totally worth it!

Love the theme and the room was very well suited for that. It wasn't too much, it was just right. The puzzles were great and the room just felt authentic. Our third place room so far this year. Loved it. I find cryptids to be intriguing so this was perfect.

One of my favourite escape rooms I've ever done! Loved the theme, the atmosphere and variety of puzzles. The staff were also so friendly and def one of my most memorable escape rooms completed!

One of my favorites from this location. I love the story and the Easter eggs. So well decorated. The ending was awesome.

Another exceptional room by Escape Room Herndon, with a very unique theme that was flat out fun. From a pure escape room perspective, there was a good mix of puzzles, may of which we had never seen before giving it a special touch. That said, nothing was too hard or frustrating, and we were able to make it out in 42 min with a family of five. (It may have helped though that our kids were huge fans of Gravity Falls, and they immediately spied all the hidden references mixed into the game :) ) The theming was top notch and had a lot of detail, could have spent the full hour just reading the cryptid backstories. All in all, a great room suitable for families, even with younger kids.

My wife and I completed this room with 3-4 hints in just under an hour. Escape Room Herndon is always top tier with their quality of escape rooms and this did not disappoint. High quality props, unique puzzles and a fun room. We loved it!

This was our second room of the night with ERH and we had a wonderful time here as well. The room was ADORABLE and the puzzles were great. We will basically enjoy anything cryptid themed, so this was right up our alley. There is one particular element in this room that felt super unique, and though it took a bit of patience, it was really quite fun to engage with. It felt like our team of 2 blew through this one with no hints, getting out with 22 minutes to spare, so I'd say this one is on the easier side and would be better for smaller groups. I would have loved to kept going in this room with this theme but overall we had an absolute blast!

Another great room with a unique theme and puzzles. All of the rooms are so much fun and the people are amazing. We also got our gold pin for finishing 4 of their rooms… very cool concept and love collecting the pins!!
