A long time ago, Freya, the goddess of love and war, did something very human - she fell in love with a mortal - a young warrior named Regnar. Their love was pure, but forbidden. As punishment, Freya was cursed to go blind whenever close to Regnar and thus never be able to see her true love ever again. Heartbroken, she sat down by an old fountain deep inside a forest, and cried a thousand tears. Feeling her sorrow, a dwarf blacksmith decided to help. He took a strain of Freya's golden hair and forged it into a magical ring. A ring, powerful enough to break all curses in it’s presence. They decided to hide the ring in the fountain and so this became the one secret place where the two lovers could be together. But the ring was taken.. Now, by a twist of faith perhaps You came across it, and for better or worse, it is now your job restore it to the fountain before it looses it’s magical powers, so that Regnar and Freya may be together once again.

This was the most incredibly designed room I’ve ever seen. Each puzzles mechanical design will blow your mind. It’s on par with rabbit hole games for the best ones I’ve done, but I will say, this center set is the most beautiful piece I’ve seen hands down.

This is one of the best in Denver so far for me. The theming is next level, and not a single padlock in sight, all the puzzles are fun, challenging and unique. The immersion is great, not just physical theming, but also audio theming. Just go if you haven't gone!

One of the best escape rooms we’ve done. Immersive gaming experience with a unique theme. The background music and sounds added to the experience. Puzzles were well designed and flowed well. Our game master Anna Maria was lovely.

LOVE an original theme. Gorgeous set. Great puzzles. Completed with a team of 2 but there is definitely one puzzle that requires a 3rd person (as it says on the site). Must play!

Very cool technical room. Felt like it wouldn't be linear but ended up being pretty linear at times. All the puzzles were well done and made sense.

Mystic is one of my favorite escape room places. The Denver location mechanics are super unique and cool! Not just lock and key but a lot of other types of puzzles.

We did The Tears Of Freya. Our host was nice and did a good job; I don't think the problems we experienced were on her. It was a REALLY good set without a single padlock. But there were issues: the room wasn't set up completely right, and the audio (like to get a hint) was borderline unintelligible due to skipping and repeating, as if the host's PC had a virus. The room was very dark, dialing up the difficulty in an unnecessary way; we think flashlights would be a good addition. On a positive note, we felt the puzzles were hard but fair, and that's really important. This is nitpicky but I'm gonna say it anyway: what's up with the text spamming? I got texts from 6 different numbers, and multiple emails. Enough!

Mystic Escape Room does not disappoint. We missed the opening last time we were in Denver, this was first on our list when we came back. Tears of Freya is a wonderful game. Very good use of lighting and sound, puzzles were solidly built and sturdy. Satisfying solves, and tough but fair puzzles. High tech, water effects and magic, ha! Make this your first priority whether visiting or local. Anna Maria was a fantastic host! Of note, there were multiple reset fails in our play through.

After doing a room at the Littleton location, our GM told us that this was his favorite room of Mystic so we came to check it out. The second we stepped in we were wowed by the set design. All of the tech worked (minus something opening we couldn't hear but our GM alerted us) One of the puzzles required 3 people. There was 3 of us exactly and all of the puzzles were challenging. We didn't need hints to finish and it was just a lot of fun. So beautiful. Lovely story.
The room is gorgeous - everything was so well tied together. You really feel like you are transcended into the story
