This was a room worthy of being on the Terpeca list. The set design was great. Puzzles were fun and interactive along with a few surprises I've not experienced before. 9/10

The holidays were drawing to a close, yet your thirst for adventure kept pushing you further. A hike through a remote region, a trail forgotten on every map… It was exactly what you needed. But the villagers in the last town seemed uneasy when you asked questions, vaguely mentioning forgotten ruins, a sky forever overcast, and a path barely passable, like they’d rather avoid the topic altogether. Ruins! That alone was enough to spark your curiosity. The trail led deep into a forest where daylight barely pierced the thick canopy. Bit by bit, the fog thickened, clinging to the branches. The air grew heavier, damp with a biting chill. Beneath your feet, the ground felt denser… almost still. Then, silence fell. Absolute silence. Not a rustling leaf, not a single birdcall. As if nature itself were holding its breath. And then, in the heart of the darkness, it appeared. A towering castle, frozen in time. Its shattered towers clawed at the sky, its cracked walls seemed to watch you. The air around it felt heavier, suffocating, as if the place itself refused to let go of those who came too close. The wind had died. Nothing moved. The castle stood before you. And it was waiting.

This is a next level game. The set design, the variety of puzzles, the story, the rooms.. everything was truly a cut above the rest. This company certainly knows how to design a room. There are some very physical components to this game, so keep that in mind!

The Castle of Eternal Suffering has an extremely physical portion of the gameplay. Definitely chat with the company to discuss if this experience may be right for you if you have any questions about the physicality required to fully participate in the game. If you have back problems, I highly recommend that you skip this experience altogether. This room is extremely narrative heavy. The story is quite interesting, and it is relayed quite beautifully through the environment. If you’re a ‘No Long Talk’ sort of player, this may be an area of friction for you. With regards to the horror aspect, I would consider it quite tame. The presence of the live actor was a great addition to add spookiness and a little bit of tension into the space, but it was done in a way where you’d have a decent idea of knowing when they’d show up, so you could mentally prepare yourself if necessary. The puzzles were the things I liked least about the experience. They weren’t awful, and I definitely enjoyed solving some of them. It’s just that overall, I didn’t have a strong connection to them; they didn’t scratch the puzzle itch in my brain. This room, however, definitely had one of my favourite transitions I’ve experienced to date. Overall, I had a great time playing Castle of Eternal Suffering, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. Played as a duo 👩🏽🐰👩🏻

*Note* if you have back/neck issues and/or fear of heights, this room is not for you. It is quite physical (though I do appreciate they have ways to bypass this portion if needed) Overall, it was a pretty good room. The set design/visuals were excellent and high quality. The storyline was easy to follow, but the choice of puzzles and amount of dialogue took away from the quality of the experience. Staff were very accommodating and kind. Wasn’t an overly scary room but the times it was, you almost were able to anticipate it which was helpful.

It was a truly immersive and amazing experience. We loved it! The rooms were varied, with lots of different areas and physical challenges—it was really well done. The story was great. At one point we took the plunge, and while we got scared a few times, we also had a lot of laughs. I highly recommend this game.

It was great, and there were hints if we couldn't figure it out, which was awesome—that way we could play through the whole game.
It was very immersive, with lots of sets and costumes—I was really impressed.

Generally moderate, and sometimes a bit harder—but only because we're looking too far afield 😅

I think it's great for 3 to 4 people; the three of us had a great time, but with 6 people it gets a little cramped
Spooky
It wasn't scary overall, but there were a few moments that really gave us a scare—which we really enjoyed; we love being scared!

It’s often compared to other games, but it’s not difficult—just more demanding. Everything works well.
That’s not really possible; I was the only one who could see the colors clearly, and it worked out okay, but it wasn’t as helpful for a puzzle

Really fun escape room with many novel physical interactions that I've never seen in another escape room. As of early 2026, the set and props are in great shape with minimal wear, though there's a column puzzle that had some touchy interaction logic. I did this with a group of 5 people with previous escape room experience. Hints were occasionally dispensed without prompting when we were struggling too long on a puzzle. Has some really cool light/LED programming! Would absolutely recommend!

It easily ranks among my top 10, and in the top 3 in Quebec. It features a variety of puzzles, fantastic settings, and light physical challenges.

9/10 Now THIS is an escape room for the puzzle lovers out there. I would easily rank this the best escape room game in all of Canada. Unbelievable puzzle elements, exceptional tech, absolutely incredible set pieces, tech, lights, sound design, and immersion. Numerous puzzles and hands on gameplay that I have never seen anywhere else. Sauve Qui Peut prioritized tactile gameplay. Every puzzle is hands on with immense satisfaction. The horror element isn’t much. It’s more for immersion and to set the mood rather than scare tactics. I put it at 6/10 on a horror scale. I see a higher rating on the TERPECA list once more people get to experience this wonderful gem of a game.

We tried this escape room because it was on Terpeca’s list, and I can definitely see why. It was a wonderful experience full of intrigue and heart-pounding moments—time just flew by without us even noticing. I definitely recommend it.
The gameplay and puzzles were a blast! We were surprised a few times, and it kept us on our toes. With some puzzles, I wasn't sure why they were there in relation to the story, but they were still fun to solve.
The atmosphere was really nice! Even though there were a few details in the set design that could have been a little better, it didn't take anything away from the experience. The story was really immersive.
The staff was very welcoming, and the place always has a warm atmosphere. The GM was good, but we're used to having an introduction and conclusion that are more integrated into the game.

Four players is the perfect number for this escape room! Any more than that would have taken away from the fun of the puzzles and would have also made it too cramped.
