The Puppet Master

Really had a great time in this room. Some of the puzzles really stood out to me. For individuality or just ones I really liked. Sophie was amazing too!

This is such an amazing room, great blend of narrative and puzzles. The whole room was themed really well and Eclipse did really well on the atmosphere for this room. And the puzzles…really unique mechanisms that I have not seen done in an escape room before. If you’re coming by to the Gold Coast, this should definitely be on your list, and I’m guessing this new escape room will be winning some awards in the future.

This was a very good room. Atmosphere was spot on but puppet was difficult to hear at times especially when in a different room. Not there best room but I would not miss it. Perfect for beginner families.

A close dash to the finish line making it out with merely seconds left was a very fun room our 1st room on advanced difficulty seeing as we had done so many other rooms we decided to try and test our luck. Overall very fun and enjoyable room

Another decent room by eclipse escape!! Personally this room is a great addition to their line up but I wouldn’t say it’s ground breaking or anything special. There are a few cool puzzles in the room that I haven’t seen done before and working really well with the theming. The biggest downfall is that this room is very heavy on word based puzzles and reading. Word based puzzles are heaps of fun when used correctly, this room had too many for my liking!! We did the expert mode so it did make it harder. Overall solid room with good theming and flow of puzzles, would recommend if in the area!

Story lovers will enjoy this room as the plot is the strongest in any room I’ve done. The story aspect is cool! The different theming of the rooms helped the immersion and made the experience feel longer

The one thing we absolutely appreciated from this company was that even though we finished 1 minute over time - because of the lockout period on the computer puzzle (pur fault, not theirs) - they still let us complete the room into over time. This made the entire experience well worth going as we were able to get the full room experience. I don't know if they do this for all groups or if it was because we were so close to finishing, but it definately made the whole experience for us. We haven't come across a company that has done this before & so we would hands down say that it puts these guys way out in front of any company we have ever done ERs with. We really really appreciated this & would like to thank them for it also.

Wonderfully different room, highly themed, well working animatronics, involved game master. It was great to experience something so different and unique!

An ambitious narrative first for Gold Coast escape rooms, ‘The Puppet Master’ offers players a curious premise—by the end of the experience, only two of three characters will survive. Where this dark tale ends is in the hands of the players. From bespoke props to varied room settings and narrative beats, it is clear that a great deal of thought and care went into the design of ‘The Puppet Master’ and how it delivers its narrative. While it’s difficult to discuss the final decision without spoiling the experience, the challenge comes less from emotional attachment to the characters and more from weighing competing moral compromises. While interesting, weighty and unique, I do wonder how the impact of the decision might shift if it were shaped by a stronger sense of rapport between the players and the characters. What is interesting in ‘The Puppet Master’ is that it’s easy to imagine each team exiting with very different choices at the experience’s climax. Eclipse continues to build memorable puzzles in each of their rooms, and ‘The Puppet Master’ is no exception. Even at the time of writing, having played nearly 200 rooms, Eclipse’s latest room has unique puzzles I haven’t seen anywhere else in Australia—including a darkly adorable cryptex I really want my own version of. As always, I’m excited and curious to see what Eclipse does next.
