A cute and fun puzzle room (or is it?), beautifully made, and with a creative use of space so that it seems bigger than it actually is.

The Pinocchio story continues! A small but beautifully crafted escape room, full of charm, creativity, and clever details. Everything is thoughtfully designed and perfectly put together. I absolutely loved it. Highly recommended!

Geppetto by Timed Adventures was the third room of Day 1 of our NL/BL 4 day escape tour 2026 and the third game overall. We were a team of 4. By this point I was already quite tired, but that didn’t stop this room from winning me over. It’s a lovely, charming experience inspired by the Pinocchio story, but with a very clear personal twist. They don’t just retell the tale; they reinterpret it, and that signature touch is present throughout, from the puzzles to the decor to key narrative moments. The room is fun, varied, and emotionally engaging, with a flow that keeps you smiling as you move forward. What stood out most to me was the music, which gave strong Disney/cinematic vibes and elevated the immersion beautifully. It was a warm way to close the first day of the tour. Highly recommended for both experienced and non-experienced players.

This was a huge step up from Inferno, and we really enjoyed ourselves. A puzzle heavy room, with some fun twists and turns. The story mostly made sense, but it is absolutely better if you have a decent understanding of Pinocchio before you play. Great use of space, and we loved getting a little behind the scenes look after the game.

Gepetto has only open about six weeks. A very puzzle intensive experience that our team of two enthusiasts tackled and finished with under a minute on the clock. Our vertically challenged team member offered a few suggestions to the owner to make a couple of key moments more easily playable. The owner was appreciative and gave us a peek behind the curtain to some of the magic. This is fun experience with a twist. A must play when near Leiden.
