Neat place. Not very big. Glad we got to experience it since tomorrow is the last day!

Permanently Closed - In 1901, Rupert B. BooMont built a marvel of American hotel history—the BooMont Hotel—boasting complete electricity and modern elevators, a first of its kind. The hotel was an instant success, but shortly after opening, Mr. Boomont's wife died tragically, and BooMont himself became a recluse. Despite Mr. Boomont's absence, the hotel continued to thrive until the Great Lightning Storm of 1924. During this unprecedented electrical event, many guests, including Mr. BooMont, disappeared without a trace, and the hotel was unable to recover. It ultimately closed its doors in 1925, but we’re proud to re-open in 2025, for the first time in 100 years!

Really enjoyed this pop-up experience. Located inside the Dallas Galleria, the BooMont Hotel is a sixty-minute experience somewhere between a haunted house and immersive experience. When you check-in, you will receive your room key and a small glass of champagne (I was there on “adult night” - this may not happen every night). You’ll hang out in the lobby for a few mins, get the back story on the hotel, and then the elevator operator will come and escort you to the 13th floor. All sorts of spooky (and fun) experiences await! This experience was similar to a smaller version of Meow Wolf, but with a definite mystery to solve. When you decide to leave, you’ll have to make a decision. Decide correctly and everyone is happy ever after. Choose the wrong one and….well, I don’t know what happens, because I chose the correct one!!! Good for small groups - everyone I saw was either solo or a couple. Public, with entry times spread out to minimize crowding. This was the company’s first time with this experience, but they have done others (including Snowday). I enjoyed it and though it was well-done. You can invest a lot or a little to the mystery itself, but the sets and scenery alone are worth the price of admission!
