This is a great room! The decorations were beautiful, the novel puzzles were in tip-top condition, and the staff was wonderful! This was my 56th room (50W - 6L) which I played with four other adults with similar statistics. We played all three rooms at this location today and two of our members said this was their favorite of the three rooms. One of those players said it might even be her favorite of all time. Wow. Three of us studied Latin and ancient Greek in school, so the Greek theme and letters were particularly nice touches. We'd say this is a medium difficulty room, perhaps bordering on the hard side. The GM (Chad) was very respectful of our request for no hints unless we asked for them - we eventually asked for one, I think. (7:00 remaining when we finished). We'd also say it is mostly non-linear and more tech than mechanical.

Gameplay

I think the theme was novel and super-fun! The puzzles and room flowed well.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere and decorations were awesome. It is a beautiful room that stays in theme throughout.

Customer service

Our GM, Chad, was great. He respected our request for no hints unless we asked for them (I think we asked for one). He was very friendly and professional. I should also mention that this is the first business where the staff were very nicely attired and well-spoken. It added a classy touch to the business (the rooms also smelled really nice - lol).

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

As mentioned, I really liked the Greek theme and lettering. I haven't encountered a room theme or puzzles like these, so it was a novel experience for me.

Story

I usually don't listen to the story, but I did with this one and the story flowed well throughout the room.

Difficulty

Medium

We had to ask for one hint, so I would push this to the hard side of medium.

Game tech

High tech

There are elements of both, but probably more tech.

Ideal number of players

4

We played as a group of five, which was great for us, but you could play with fewer or more. A couple of puzzles require two players, so don't play this room alone.

Scary

Not scary

We won't play scary rooms.

Minimum age

10

I say ten years old only based on a typical ten year old attention span. If you have a younger enthusiast, by all means include them. Especially if you have any Percy Jackson fans.

Was anything broken?

No

Everything was in tip-top condition.

Live actors

No

We won't play rooms with live actors.

Physically active

Somewhat

There was the usual scurrying around, but nothing strenuous.

Accessibility

Hearing, color vision, and vision are necessary. You might be able to play with a wheel chair

Easy to find location

Yes

It is in a strip mall (with an In-N-Out next door).

Parking

Easy

There is plenty of mall parking.

I guess this room has a regular style and a winter overlay, but since we never played the regular version, have no comparison. This room is fun with a good number of thought provoking puzzles. While the website says a minimum of four are needed for the room, we were able to book it for two on site, and it was doable, but I could see four being better suited.

Gameplay

The overall game play was good, with a mostly non-linear set of puzzles with a few linear components. The ending components felt a little rushed.

Was anything broken?

No

Marking this as a no since I think technically nothing was broken, but one puzzle seemed to be very sensitive so we spent some time checking our solution and getting a little frustrated everything was right but nothing was happening. A little jiggling I guess finally got it into the right spot.

Live actors

No

Physically active

Somewhat

There's a good bit of movement between rooms.

Accessibility

Those with low vision might have a really hard time with this room, as one of the rooms is not very bright and some clues hide in shadows.
