The Buried Prophecy

Loved The Buried Prophecy! We’ve now done all the rooms for the Quest Tavern! The Buried Prophecy is their only one at this location, though they’re supposedly opening up a new one soon! Not scary, but dark atmosphere (you’re in a tomb!) The set is pretty amazing! They’ve done a really awesome job making it really feel like you’re in a tomb! The puzzles are pretty novel and different, not heavily reliant on traditional locks. Each puzzle was different and novel and fun to work through! Not terribly hard! The first half we sort of breezed through. The second half tripped us up in several places where our wonderful GM Diego stepped in to give us small nudges in the right direction! Difficulty I’d say was a Medium, leaning towards hard a bit. We went in as a group of 2 and got out with about a minute to spare 🤣. There’s a side quest thing where you can find 10 coins in your room and get a discount! We couldn’t really split our attention much that way since we’re two people, but if we had 3 or more, we definitely would’ve tried searching for those too! Ideally I’d say 3-4 people would be perfect! Space isn’t very big, so maybe not very good for large groups! As a review for all of Quest Tavern, I absolutely loved each and every one of their rooms! I would highly highly recommend all of them! My favorite though would probably still be the Last Supper! Overall, still highly recommend Buried Prophecy! And a special thanks to our GM Diego for being super friendly and welcoming and facilitate an unforgettable experience!

The gameplay is fun and has a lot of puzzles I haven't seen before. The set is great. Not a fan of the pyramid theme, but this is pretty well executed. Very enjoyable. I also liked the bonus objectives. Bonus objectives are always fun.

I would say the game itself only worth a thumbs up, not bad in anyway but kind of normal escape room experience. HOWEVER, our GM Diego is the BEST, my heart for the game fully goes to his hard work. SUPER responsive, always there to help, provide extremely helpful hint at the right time, and of course, super fun :D! I played all of quest tarven’s game and all of there GM are the best. I would come back anytime if there’s new game without any doubts!

One of my least favorite themes of an escape room are Pharoah/Egyptian themed Escape rooms. They usually have the same hieroglyphic decoding puzzles...However this room had many unique and fun puzzles. We had such a fun time and is great for all ages. Diego was a great GM. I highly reocmmend doing this rooms for some fun and adventure! As usual Quest Tavern delivers!

Absolutely loved this room! I love that there is a fun side quest that you can do in this room for a chance to win a special prize at the end! The set design in all of the rooms at both quest tavern locations are always so incredible. Nico, who is also the owner of Quest Tavern, was our GM and you can just tell she has such a beautiful and kind soul. Highly recommend this room, if this is your first escape room ever or just a beginner in general it may be a bit more on the difficult side.

Such an amazing game from Quest Tavern, but I wouldn’t expect any less!! Their games at their first location are so amazing, and this one shows that they just keep getting better! Thank you so much Nico for the amazing experience!!!

Nico does it again! It’s always a pleasure doing Quest Tavern rooms. The passion shows in the room. The creativity and puzzles are well thought of. Can’t wait for the next one!

My favorite Egyptian room that I have played to date. The GM Nico is always a joy and so friendly. A combination of special effects and manual locks. There was a good amount of puzzle solving for our group of 4.

Great rendition of the Egyptian tomb theme escape room. Lots of puzzle to solve and a lot of cool effects. I think for the most part all the clues made sense, there were a couple of places we needed a nudge but after the nudge we were like "oh yeah, how did we miss that." Only real criticism of the room is that one mechanism is very finicky, so we had to be coached through it even after having the correct answer. Our GM was Nico and she did a great job.
