This was their hardest room and the first one my normal group did not beat in time. They let us play through and we only went a few minutes over. We were disappointed in ourselves but we still had a lot of fun!

We needed a lot of clues as a 2 person team. But the atmosphere and detail were awesome! Just don’t hesitate to get help if you’re stuck.

This was a very slow paced room. With 2 players there wasn’t much to do. The room seemed like there wasn’t much of a personal touch and was quickly made. While we were 2 spots away from “moving” a clue the game master went ahead and released the next clue. This happened twice. The person that walked us into our room even told us the last thing we had to do before she walked out which was really frustrating. It was underwhelming and didn’t scratch the itch.
Not really a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Very linear. Just ok.

A fun room that borrows a nice amount from the source material. The set design replicates the look and feel of a train pretty well and the puzzles all fit in nicely with the theme.

Well done escape room, with a few surprises along the way. Very clean as well, and all the set design and pieces really enhanced the story. Fun to play but there were a few things that keep me from rating it a “Heart”. For one, they limit your hints (which is fine for experienced players), but if you ask for anything past 3, they take away time for each hint, which has to be difficult for new players, or players that find this room difficult in general. Secondly, I just didn’t have the best guest experience with the staff/my game guide. I’m hoping it was a fluke, since we all have our off days, so a return is definitely needed, but just not at the top of my list because of these things. Overall, if you love Agatha Christie murder mysteries, or just want a nice cozy ride on a beautiful train, I would recommend this room.
Some elements didn’t click for me, and when asked to explain them, they just got brushed aside.
Nothing too impressive, and a pretty tight room with thin walls, so you could hear other games around you as well. But still well themed.
Upon entering the building the employees just stared at me and my friend for a few moments and then said, “Can we help you?” like we were lost inconveniences. And in the end of the game when asked to explain some things that didn’t quite make sense and we guessed on, they didn’t explain and just said, “Yeah, you just have to guess”, which made me sad considering I really wanted to learn about what connections I had missed.

Fun, but not very different.

It can get a bit tight in spots if you have more than 4 in my opinion. Played as a team of 2.

This was a really great room overall! Such a HUGE difference from Budapest express, which in my eyes is the first version of this game. One of the best sets Escapology has rolled out! Staff was also super nice and the entire space was very welcoming and relaxing!
Tons of fun!
One of the best looking sets that Escapology has had! Considering this is pretty much a Budapest Express 2.0, they really went out on theming and nailed it!
The staff were super friendly and really made you feel welcomed!

We did this for my friends birthday and it was very fun. All objects are well maintained, we had a bit of a tough start but it is a more challenging room. we did manage to escape thankfully although we did have to have some assistance on the first puzzle. Smaller spaces but the rooms are well kepts and overall it was to the T very themed and in line with the novel.
extremely detailed yet flowed beautifully
detailed, clean, minor special effects making it more immersive. the clues and objects were well fitting and well maintained

there’s nothing inappropriate or gruesome but the rooms are a bit smaller and there is critical thinking involved younger kids would struggle with

My first ever escape room and I thoroughly enjoyed it. With a mix of mechanical & technical puzzles/environment it felt very immersive. The room design felt exactly like you were on a train. Although, I’d opt for more unique rooms in comparison.

It was weird playing this room since it replaced a very similar room, Budapest Express. None of the puzzles were repeated, which was good. Some of the puzzles were very challenging and unique, but they were a bit confusing. There also seemed to be too many puzzles for a group of 2. We guessed on some puzzles and got lucky. I enjoyed the use of tech and scenic in this room!

The theming of this room was really well done but the puzzles were insanely difficult and just did not make very much sense at all. My group and I struggled and got frustrated in this room trying to piece together how each puzzle worked. Did not enjoy.
