This room is very well done. The storyline is fun and engaging. The puzzles are varied and offer some interesting challenges. A couple puzzles are presented in ways that didn't agree with my logic, but upon achieving the solution, I understand how they got there. The use of additional (optional) puzzles is definitely something I wish more rooms would use.

Pirates curse has to be the best room 60 to escape milwaukee has to offer. The balance of humor and drama in most pirate themed rooms is a careful line to toe, but this room tackle it perfectly the way Captain Spoopy Bones in Orlando does. With a loveable animatronic narrator against a (fairly creepy) antagonist in the game the balance of the comedy makes for a compelling and fun story line. The room itself also does not rely on any sort of βpirate knowledgeβ, other pirate themed rooms will use types of sailing knots, parts of a ship, or understanding of latitude and longitude to solve puzzles, but this room being geared for all ages does not suffer from these types of issues. The bonus puzzles also add to a very fun experience all contained within the confines of the rooms knowledge, making them a difficult yet feasible extra challenge. Overall incredibly fun room and great set design, a must do for milwaukee

Loved this room. A lot of pirate rooms try to employ humor to mixed results, but this room pulls it off in a punny manner with just the right amount of playfulness that elevates the experience, rather than inducing eye rolls. It is the largest at this location and has a lot to explore and discover. Some really fun scenic elements that I won't spoil here. The main puzzle flow is relatively easy and would be good for newcomers. We "finished" the room in about 35 minutes, leaving 25 minutes for a set of five additional bonus puzzles that are not required to complete the room but are a clever way to scale the difficulty level for more seasoned players. Let me tell you, those bonus puzzles kicked our butts and we finished not a single one in the entire 24 minutes we spent on them before deciding to complete the final act that would trigger the end of the game. Even then, we had a great time! Whew!

Loved this room! Very immersive and lots of variety in puzzles. We got two of the bonus puzzles done before we ran out of time.

Awesome room. Perfect for new escapists and perfect for vets. The bonus puzzles are really good and challenging. A great combo of simple fun story and difficult side puzzles.

My partner and I really enjoyed this room. The theme and set design was very well done, the puzzles were varied and satisfying. The bonus puzzles were also very welcome to make a otherwise pretty simple room a delight for people with a but more experience.

Had great theming and atmosphere. Also had some quite challenging puzzles, and clever ones. The "Escape" itself was fairly short, but then there were 5 extra puzzles that took up the time and could all be done in parallel, which created options for everyone. Fun tech, like an animatronic parrot.

Tremendous immersion and a very playful room. The decor was fantastic and there were some unique puzzles with a creative hint system.

Spectacular room! I enjoyed it more than a thumbs up but Iβm not sure if itβs exactly a heart. Pros are that itβs a very theatrically impressive showing. Flashing lights, animatronics, voices, and stunning set pieces. Funny moment in the middle too! Iβm still amazed at a literal hallway room due to the high quality presentation. Cons were one puzzle that didnβt quite work so the GM literally had to force open the door for us. Final puzzle was also anticlimactic. Thereβs a more interesting puzzle to solve in the final room, but theyβre considered βbonus puzzles.β While the idea is neat, and Iβm glad they told us that there WERE bonus puzzles that could be ignored, it was tough to figure out which clues were bonus puzzles and which werenβt. We ended up wasting time looking at things, only for the GM to lead us back to the much more disappointing main puzzle. I also hit my head hard because of an unfortunate design choice in the set. So while I overall found the room impressive, the confusing nature of the bonus puzzles brings it down a peg leg.

βPirateβs Curse is a particular pun it made. It made me laugh, I loved how it was presented...β
