You've earned a second chance at freedom, but it's slim. About 3 months ago, Edward hired a man named John Peterson to help him make some "engineering changes" to an elevator shaft on his property. John quickly figured out that these changes he was being asked to make were indeed sinister in nature. When he confronted Edward, he was told that he could not leave until the project was finished or else his wife and daughter would pay the price. The project is complete and John is long dead. You've found yourself locked inside the elevator shaft. Will you and your friends be able to follow the steps John put in place for you? Or will you perish under the weight of a 6 ton steel elevator? This is the most technically advanced room The Basement has to offer. The Elevator Shaft delivers a level of realism and intensity that is unmatched in the world of Escape Rooms today.

One of the BEST escape rooms that I did. Such a mood. So realistic elements. We escaped but it was few seconds before the end. I think 45min it’s a reach for this room

Pretty much a one room escape room. Felt almost like a quick get in get out room.

My husband and I work very well together. We wrench on cars, so the communication puzzle it has worked perfectly for us. We really enjoyed this one! It was exciting

There is much about this room that I loved. But also a lot that I hated. The biggest was the failure to explain the final puzzle we didn’t get after the room was over. I swear I tried even combination, including the obviously correct one. The overall feel of the place is adversarial - that they want to “beat” the players rather than provide an adventure to them. Very mixed feelings about the room.

The Elevator Shaft excels at creating a very immersive atmosphere, with great effects and a very real looking environment. The puzzles are solid, and with only 2 players it definitely challenges your communication skills. I would recommend playing with only 2 or 3 players though, as the game isn’t too difficult and I think it would get too crowded otherwise and there will be players with nothing left to do.

Definitely not a room to try with people you’re not a fan of because you’ll be redefining close quarters here. The size of the room is disappointing only if you have a larger team in chapter 1 and have to downsize for chapter 2. But the theme and story elements can’t be beat.

One key didn’t really work very well and when we tried to ask the game master he took like 5 minutes to finally respond which in a 45 minute room is a lot of time. But the theme was great and the whole idea of going on a lil conveyer belt was great until you saw how small it was.
