Wizard’s Tower

The ambiance and decorations in the room were terrific. The puzzles were non-linear which by itself is cool but it made figuring out a “proper” flow difficult. There is one puzzle that did not make sense to us and we needed 3 hints to solve it.

This is a fun room. The immersion is really well done, it has a mix of technology and some tried and true locks and puzzle elements. It has a fun story that connects to the location. The game play is a mix of linear and non-linear which presented some fun challenges tackling the room. Also a nice mix of story-driven elements which was a nice integration into the room. If you are reading other reviews here, a handful talk about one puzzle in particular. It includes a number of cards and a scroll. Our suggestion is just hint it as it doesn't work as intended and they will even admit it's logic is a bit off. Despite that, it's still a blast to play. Knowing about this puzzle in advance; you should save some frustration. It did not hinder our enjoyment. We finished as a couple with a few extra minutes added. This is easily a three or four person room. I don’t know if we were just having an off day, but this game and the puzzles did not seem intuitive to us at all. It is non linear and there is just a ton of back and forth between tasks that should have been explained better at the beginning. We got stuck on so many of the puzzles, the room was dark, the clues were small for no reason, and it just felt outright frustrating at times. We had already played the three other rooms at this location and had enjoyed them which is why we came back to do this one, but this was by far our least favorite and easily one of our least favorite games we have ever played out of the ~48 we have done so far. Great concept for a room but overall we left feeling disappointed.

The puzzles were great. Some of the letters on the items were rubbed away, so you have to figure out the next letter and where it might be for the item to open. To me, the room was more figure it out or chaos than hard.

Every room here is absolutely incredible. And NO LOCKS. Puzzles are well integrated and story is impeccable. This one is particularly hard. Made it out but with lots of clues. I suggest doing it with more than just 2 people and trying their other rooms first (cause you should do them all) cause this is difficult.

I agree with other reviewers regarding the weapon scroll puzzle. Our group of 4 had fun, but that one simple puzzle took away from the experience.

Lots of fun tech to love, but it's a tough game and (agreeing with another reviewer) one puzzle's solution is incorrect (not a spoiler: "the weapon scroll image"). The negative of this room is it felt like a frantic rush to check off a long laundry list of items, and some enjoyment and plot was lost amidst the chaotic scurrying of our 5-member team. It was a lot to keep track of without a writing device to help. MINOR SPOILER: The final puzzle was a real let down (basically a "find what's different here" video puzzle... But is this even a puzzle?), after a string of really good ones.

So we’ve done 3 out of the 4 rooms here and just to be completely honest the games don’t live up to how much money they charge. You have better options at a cheaper price across town. As far as the game it’s self, the atmosphere was cool but expected more. Not really a multi room experience.

Cool atmosphere and some cool puzzles. There were some issues we had just because we didn't see certain things or thought an item didn't need to be used anymore.
