One community, one family. Melville, the small town feel, with the innovation of all the major metropolitan areas. Over 2500 gorgeously designed homes, a private lake, and literally no crime. Melville is just right… except for the 37 missing persons cases over the last 5 years.. FBI agent Grabowski was heading up the investigation, but he went missing 48 hours ago. The first 48 are the most important moments of any case. You and your team have been hired to pick up where he left off. The last we knew, he was investigating Mr. Howard Green, a pillar of Melville’s community. Time is of the essence, break into Mr Green’s house to see what you can find, remember Mr.Green is never late.

“Suburban Serial Killer” was my first room at The Escape Company, and in my opinion, is their best experience. While the gameplay is fairly linear, the room was uniquely designed and transported us to a serial killer’s suburban hideaway. The GM was fantastic and we shared so many laughs. Truly made our experience an enjoyable one! There was some confusion as to what clues we needed to bring into each room. Thankfully, the GM guided us, but the gameplay and immersion seemed to halt when transitioning from room to room. The major downside was the A/C, or lack thereof - we were sweating in there!
The gameplay was linear, and flowed nicely from room to room. Although, the GM had to remind our party which clues to hold onto, as it wasn’t clear what we needed to bring to the next room.
The set and decor was fairly simple, but in a way, enhanced the suburban feel of the experience. One of the rooms in particular was well themed. The downside of the space was the temperature. There was no air conditioning - it was very warm, and we started to break a sweat!
Our GM, Daniel, completely made this experience for us!! Lots of laughs were had, and we truly felt like they were an integral part of our experience.

Did not enjoy this room whatsoever. GM was not attentive. Room is very worn.
Even though the room is worn I liked some of the set design.

Overall this room was fun and the staff were good! I thought that some of the puzzles lacked connection and it wasn’t super clear how they connected to specific locks. I played with a large group and every time we had a code we put it into all of the locks we had in front of us because we were unsure which one we were supposed to use. Definitely would be a challenging room with a smaller group. I would recommend!
The game play flowed well but some puzzles were not entirely connected to one another.
Atmosphere was good! Had some cool effects and looked like a house!
GM and staff were welcoming! Seemed like they get lots of tourists as they asked multiple times if my group knew the room was hard.
Spooky
Not extremely scary, but there were some moments that caused anticipation and anxiety. The room is also dark in one of the spaces.

Room was nice with some harder puzzles. Some of things that seem like clues aren’t clues, but aren’t red herrings either though. Some of the puzzles don’t align perfectly but you can sort of figure it out with a little nudge. Ask for a clue if you don’t feel like you’re pacing yourself well enough. The room had a creepy story that was fun to follow. Our game master was really sweet too!

A cool story, a decent room. It’s pretty cheesy but the ending of the plot was a little unexpected

This is the worst escape room company in FL. Avoid at all costs. For starters, we were greeted by a rude woman at the counter, who told us we were late (when we arrived 15 min beforehand as usual), then told us to wait in a hallway, and then forgot we were there. We actively heard them giggling about us from the back as well :). So far so good! We should have just left at this moment. The room was not good. The first part of it has 3 of the exact same locks so when you think you have a code, you have to try it in 3 different locks which just is annoying. A cool little surprise happens toward the middle, but this room cannot be done with 2 people in an hour. Mostly cheap props and puzzles that have no flow to them. Also, the final puzzle is a giant word search…seriously? The game master would take close to 3 minutes to finally give us a clue, and it would come through on an old and muffled microphone. After the time ran out, they literally told us over the speaker “okay you guys can go now”. Nobody greeted us. Nobody took our photo. Nobody said “nice job! You guys were close!”. Nothing. Absolute joke of an experience.
0 flow. Inputting codes on the same locks over and over.
Cheap and run down.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had at an escape room.

Nothing memorable.

Unnecessarily long, and not doable for small groups.

All mechanical. Not really fun.

A little spooky. Very minor jump-scares, and kind of off putting atmosphere.

Good story and creepy feeling all the way through. No trouble with just two of us. Game master was great.
Very creepy. If you are into that kind of stuff you will enjoy it more than me.

The first room was unnecessarily difficult. After the first room, it got easier. The puzzles weren’t very interesting and I left not enjoying myself and just escaping. I’d skip this room.

We really enjoyed the set up of the room, the multi levels made it even more immersive. As a true crime watcher, I very much enjoyed the mystery of it all.
