So you finally made it out of the house... but was it a better idea to stay indoors? After escaping The Study, and running downstairs, you find yourself in the mudroom of the Tandy home. One more door stands between you and your freedom, right? Wrong. Once outside, you find yourself in Edward's cold and dark courtyard surrounded by a 14-foot tall wooden fence. Edward's daughter Lilly once resided in the trailer in the Courtyard, but she's long gone. Painfully, she was forced to leave someone she loved behind. Will you be able to save Lilly's lover Quinn, or will the officer perish while you try and escape? The Courtyard is by far our most ambitious room to date. Like, Chapter 1: The Basement, The Courtyard is a non-linear funnel puzzle with multiple paths that must be traversed by different members of the group.

A very well-themed room, with at least one member of the team needing to do some physical activity (which I thought was super well designed), and a live actor who can be engaged with or ignored as the players desire. It’s been a couple years, but I still think back positively on my experience in this room.

Although we didn’t escape, this still remains my #1 escape room. I challenge any venue to offer a more immersive experience than this one. Absolutely incredible.

I’ve played this room once. I need to go back. This room is one of my favorites. Design wise this room blew me away. Just amazingly done and well thought out. I did not make it out of this room with the group I came with but still was a great time. This room is a must play but in order to get the full experience all four rooms in succession are a must.

I played this room twice. Apparently it was a puzzle with angels at the end that they removed it and we stacked there the first time. It was always bothering me and I was keep thinking about it and after 4 years we went back on a Black Friday discount to redo it and we found out that the removed that puzzle because was not good and people had issues. We escaped the second time but it didn’t have the magic of the first time. The second time I went was 11/28/2022.

This is a good one. Live actor is amazing and loved the outdoor style experience. Really immersive

Impressive set design and creative use of the actor. Spooky and immersive like all the Basement rooms. We played this with two people and lost with a couple puzzles incomplete. The tighter 45-minute clock presents a challenge. Dress for the possibility of getting a little dirty.

Played it a 2nd time and it still is breath taking every time. The puzzle flow is decent but the set the immersion and the live actor element was phenomenal. One of my top 10 rooms.

The room itself was very good. The set and puzzles were great and it was visually stunning. The only issue I have is the 40 min timer. Most if not all escape rooms are 60 min standard and this room seems to have a 40 min limit as a money grabbing tactic. Almost like they want you to lose so you have to pay to come back to finish it.

This room is visually stunning! We had an absolute blast here. The concept was great and the puzzles flowed really well.

If you can only play one game at The Basement, this would be it. It takes all the best aspects of the other games and makes for a great all round experience! What we loved most was the very immersive set, you really feel transported to a different place. The actor interactions are brilliant, and The Basement is really the best at integrating actors in the puzzles, making them part of the solutions of some of the tasks. Our actor was also really talented! The puzzles are fun overall, with the ones that involve the actor definitely being the highlight. We enjoyed that the puzzles made good use of the environment, and they were mostly tied in with the story.
“It really feels like you're outside!“
“The craft, imagination, immersion, puzzles and fun are all the top of their game“
“A spectacular outdoor environment... the set was a work of art.“
