Reviewing the Magic and Curiosity shop games together.
Both games have strong opening sets and far lesser impressive spaces after. Both are 45 minutes and you need to move swiftly to escape. Both games have high-consequence puzzles that can be time-consuming; solving these right the first time could make or break your escape. Both games have excellent, on-theme puzzles, which is where Find & Seek thrives. These are pretty challenging games.
The Magic game is far more linear and easier, with some nice reveals early on. In general, the puzzles are solved in the room they have progressed into.
The Curiosity Shop is more challenging and non-linear. Teams will be moving between the rooms back and forth more in this game. The puzzles were frantic with a rapid pace, similar to Undercooked at Omescape. There are some larger, tactile pieces that are very fun the play with.
Overall, both of these games are good if you are into intense puzzling. Be ready to ask for hints if it feels like you are slowing down.
