Paradox Project 1: Η Έπαυλη [The Mansion]

We were so excited to do a 3 hour escape room and it did not disappoint. Time flew by! It’s a fantastic room - we really enjoyed!

If you visit Athens and are planning to play some escape rooms, Paradox Project has to be on your list. The Mansion is the first of the games and the first chapter in the story. The space is huge and packed full of puzzles so if you are used to games that are bigger on experience and horror and light on puzzles, as many in Athens are, you will definitely have a mental workout over the 3 hours that you are inside the space. This probably isn’t a game for first time players either. The escape rooms at Paradox Project are the longest I’ve ever played but the time flies by as there is so much to keep you immersed and busy. We were offered a break half way through but kept on going. You are permitted to take in refreshments and eat/drink as you like, though only in the central space in the house. The bathroom is available at all times too which is handy. I loved this game - it was the first in a long time that really made us stop and think and work things out. You need stamina and adrenaline, failing that, caffeine, to get you through to the end, especially if you are a group of two like we were. Totally worth it, I wish there were games like this in the UK.

Incredible room with awesome immersive design. Great use of their space with an awesome story. Paradox doesn't disappoint. This was our second room of their three, and while we preferred music academy, it was an amazing experience and well worth the trip

Ok- this was a great experience BUT we did it on the day we arrived from the US. We had been traveling for 27 hours with little cat naps on planes. Doing this room when fully rested would have been better for sure. I can see why these rooms won awards and the story is so good. A must do for people who enjoy escape rooms for sure.

This is a very original experience not only because it's 3 hours, but the set and puzzles are also very unique. I would highly recommend paying Paradox Project a visit. A group of two will likely struggle, so it'd be better to play with more. There are a few ambiguous puzzles that are very time-consuming to solve, but the overall experience was very positive for me. This room feels a bit older than their other rooms, but it's the beginning of the story. If you want to follow the narrative in chronological order, then you should start with this room.

Amazing set, great puzzles, lovely plot arc. Just a wonderful experience. Very much recommended!

An epic escape room that takes up to three hours and has you exploring an entire apartment. This is the first room of the trilogy and they manage to keep the story alive through out.

Start to finish was a blast… many, many puzzles… most definitely a game to play while you are fresh and rested…

Beautiful well themed and offered a great story on top of the riddles and puzzles we loved! The best bit is that is has a sequel! So we booked it right after we played this one. The team running it is also super nice!
