49 escape rooms
This is a great beginner room that does an excellent job at introducing new players to escape rooms and what to look for in the puzzles, especially for more techy rooms. Our group consisted of two adults and a 10 year old who have each done 20+ rooms and we were able to complete this room with just about 16 minutes left and no hints. While we were aware that this was a beginner mini room, we enjoyed doing it as it was a good cool down after the 3 escape rooms we had done before it on the same day and we like having beginner rooms to recommend to friends who want to get into escape rooms. This roo. would also be a good warm up for anyone who wants to get their brain moving. This was a single room experience and the puzzles were easy without being kindergarten level simple. It is a bit sparse but makes great use of the small space without making it feel crowded or overwhelming. I will say the one thing that delayed us was the fact that we didn't quite look everywhere in the room for a certain clue, which gave us a prompt reminder that clues can also be hidden well above our heads when we finally noticed it. This is a lesson not often taught by beginning rooms and one we were most amused to be reminded of. Definitely a good warm-up, cool down, or intro room but it can be boring for experienced players who are looking for a heavier challenge.
The puzzles flowed well and the story resolved itself smoothly as you solved each puzzle in the room. It makes it easy for groups to work on each puzzle together or split up and attack each one at the same time.
For such a small space they did a great job setting it up and designing it to fit the theme. The lights and sounds are enjoyable and the room isn't overly crowded or overwhelming for those new to escape rooms. It can appear sparse to those who are more experienced but remember who or what these types of mini rooms are geared towards before making a complaint along those lines.
Our GM, Madi, and the rest of the staff at MindTrap were always awesome and enthusiastic. Their eagerness and ability to get you started even if you check in early is that made it possible for us to experience so many of their rooms in one day. The best part is that, as GMs, they fully respect your team's playstyle and won't try to guide or correct you unless you ask for it. This was very appreciated as we've had some GMs give unwanted hints in the past. Never had that issue at either MindTrap location.
No
It wasn't anything overly unique or memorable but it would be interesting for those who are still new to escape rooms. It does a great job introducing them to the different concepts and puzzles commonly found in techy rooms while not overdoing it on the details, story, or complexity.
Short and simple story that you actually follow and stay with til the end.
Easy
Great for a quick warm-up, cool down, or introduction to the experience.
High tech
Mainly sensors and switches but nothing overly complicated.

This room is perfect for 2 players regardless of experience level and can be enjoyed by up to 4 inexperienced players. It doesn't have too many puzzles, as expected for a mini room, but those that it does have can mostly be completed at the same time. This allows players in larger groups to enjoy working on a puzzle without having to wait for others to solve theirs first.
Not scary
It is very dark at the beginning before the room starts so be mindful of this if anyone is overly scared of the dark. This moment is brief but can be disorienting.

While most of the puzzles are easy to solve, a couple still require some reading and logical thinking. Younger kids would enjoy this room with the help of an experienced adult or two.
No
Everything worked perfectly.
No
None at all. The aliens you interact with are all simple props that don't move or make noise.
Not at all
This is a small, single room experience that only requires you to move a few pieces of something a short distance a couple of times. Nothing a child can't lift and nothing that requires physical strain.
This room is small and can be cramped for those with mobility issues if they are in a larger group but, other than that, I would consider this room rather friendly for those with Impairment issues. Sounds and colors didn't play a huge part in the overall experience, but there are some flashing party lights at the end that can disorient those sensitive to it.
Yes
GPS took us right to the lot.
Easy
Plenty of on-site parking.
