48 escape rooms
I liked this room - the decorations were festive with lots of bright colors and the games were fun. This was our third room with Red Door today. We failed "Once Upon A Time" (we weren't even close) and succeeded in "The Gift" (Christmas edition). Everything was in working condition. This was my 19th room (14W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. I played with two other adults with similar statistics. We agree that this was a hard room, mainly because of the number of puzzles needing to be solved. The good news is that the puzzles are mostly non-linear so everyone has something to do. I think the puzzles are mostly mechanical but there were a few tech-y ones.
I really liked the carnival theme and midway games. The set was well decorated with lots of bright colors.
The props were nice. I liked the puzzles and games. My team is partial to mechanical puzzles, so this was a good game for us.
Our GM was nice. We asked him to give us nudges if he saw us going off in the wrong direction and full hints when we rang the bell.
Yes
I like the carnival theme.
Everything in the room fit well with the theme of carnivals and midway games. One of the games (you've probably seen it in everyone's photos) was my favorite. It takes two people working together.
Hard
This was my 19th room (14W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. I played with two other adults with similar statistics. We agree that this was a hard room, mainly because of the number of puzzles needing to be solved. We escaped with only a few seconds to spare and multiple hints.
Mechanical
There are a few high tech puzzles, but most are mechanical. Our group prefers that.

We played with three novice adults. A fourth adult would have been nice since there are quite a few puzzles. We needed a few hints too.
Not scary

I think kids would enjoy the carnival theme.

Somewhat
At least two puzzles require significant dexterity (one was my favorite game) and there is movement between rooms, but nothing exhausting.
Vision & color acuity are important. I think the room is mostly wheelchair accessible, but there are a few tight areas.
Yes
It is in Fashion Valley Mall. There are several restaurants in the mall plus a food court.
Easy
There is a lot of free covered parking. We did three rooms at Red Door today, so we had to bring our dog with us. We really appreciated the covered parking which was next to the business so that we could leave the dog in the car (with the windows cracked) during the game, then take her out to the grassy area between games. The Green trolley also stops at the mall. In fact, Red Door is the closest business to the station (my guess is that it is a 500 ft walk?).
