The year is 1956... or is it? With all you’ve experienced in recent weeks, it’s hard to trust even that. You went to sleep once night, and woke up here at Overbrook Hospital. The place promises care and peace for the mentally ill, but all you’ve received is manipulation, experimentation, and a heavy supply of drugs. Besides that, you’re not insane, and never have been. The whole place is a ruse, devised to cover the mind-control experiments of a group of twisted scientists. However, you won’t allow them to use you any longer. A situation at the other side of the hospital has diverted the staff’s watching eyes. It is the perfect chance for escape, and it may be your last. Find the medicines needed to restore your senses before finding your way out of this living nightmare before your mind is lost forever.

But experience. First room is a little vague. As with several of their rooms there is what appears to be an easy answer but then match is involved (and in some cases outside knowledge but stuff everyone should know). The rooms in this one are smaller so better for a smaller group. And most puzzles are linear requiring only one or two people at a time. There were two of us in there. It's a mix of visual and physical puzzles and a couple mazes or teamwork challenges. We could have brute forced the final puzzle and saved about 10+ minutes, but we finished with plenty of time left and got to do more challenges.

Mix of locks with codes/keys and action triggers. We finished the game, and the GM didn't notice right away we had to shout out to ask if we missed something, appearently the final automatic panel isn't linked to stopping the timer.

2-4, more than 4 would lead to a tight fit in the first section.

Had to reach under a table but that was the most physical
Room is downstairs, not certain if there is an elevator. Some audio clues are hard to hear. Darkness is used to make things more creepy and challenging which could be more difficult for those with poor night vision.

Several overpriced parking garages around. There is a $20 per day open air lot on Broad St, or you might get lucky with a meter.

Fun room, with some spooky theming. There are some uneven difficulty spikes, but overall felt fair with some interesting puzzles.

This game was super cool, lots of puzzles to solve. The start was really difficult and still don’t really understand the first puzzles- but all in all very fun

Insane Asylum is fun if you’re with a group of good friends who are sharing the not-so-good experience with you. There’s three rooms in the space of two, meaning the rooms are very cramped, and the puzzles aren’t really puzzles rather than a bunch of mazes. I guess it’s worth playing, were it not for the fact that there’s so many better ones around. So, make of that what you will, I guess.
Just a bunch of slidey puzzles and key mazes in a very small room. It’s hard to call them puzzles.
About what you would expect from a Boda Borg quest or something similar. Basically- it looks fine, nothing special.
The staff are very nice.

Just absolutely drops the story after the 2 minute audio recording to start the game.
