Magician's Workshop

So this room was really well done! Really like all of it and don’t have any complaints about the room itself. Just have an option on hints. I wish you guys had a couple stages of hints. Hope this makes sense but for example the first hint should be more vague and give a idea of maybe where to look. Then if they still do t understand maybe add more to it. I don’t like the hints that tell you exactly what you need to do, which is what happened to us twice in this room because we needed to hints. last thing I want to say is that I wish these rooms weren’t so pricy! They have gone up so much! It’s a very pricy date for the two us and unfortunately we won’t be doing one again for awhile because of that.

This room is solid and starts off with a cool, friendly beginning. The set is strong along with some good puzzles. A few were tricky with only 2 players, having a few more eyes would have helped. If you like the theme, give it a go!

I would highly recommend this escape room. Very fun to do the puzzles and the GM and owner are very inviting and friendly. You will have an amazing time.

I loved this room! The room flow was perfect and the puzzles all worked well together and fit the theme. I have done a few magic rooms and this one really felt MAGICAL! The puzzles were not overly complicated with a good mix of tech and locks. We only got hung up once because we were not looking close enough. Great Room!

Excellently designed, built, and maintained escape room. We loved the game and all puzzles were completely on course.

This room felt like we were actually magic 🪄 Puzzles were perfectly on-theme and use of tech really supported the feeling of being in a magical space. We couldn't stop praising the many stellar (and sometimes subtle) design choices on the drive back. Puzzle quality was also astounding, puzzles were varied in style and difficulty, creating a game where everyone could play to their strengths. We have nothing but praise for this room, and are excited to try the other rooms at this location!

Played a few games there and this one was my favorite. Lots of fun puzzles and I thought they flowed well.

This room was fun! The theme was great and there were a few puzzles that really made us think and a couple that of things that we hadn’t seen before.

TLDR: great room with amazing gameplay and a good atmosphere along with having my favorite clue of any escape room of all time. After doing six rooms by Raven Chase, it’s clear that you can never go wrong with any room they create. Gameplay: the gameplay was awesome. There was a lot of fun, diverse clues. Some mechanical, and some with tech. And after doing 20+ escape rooms, this room (the first room specifically) easily has my favorite clue of all time of any escape room I’ve done. The finale was also very fun to watch. A lot of ooos and aahs from our group overall. Gameplay wise, this is in my opinion the best room here at the Herndon location (writing this review without have doing the new room cryptic grove) Atmosphere: I was also surprised about how well the atmosphere was. Well, nothing stood out compared to some other amazing atmosphere rooms I’ve done, I was surprised that they were able to make a pretty good atmosphere with such a basic theme, especially after seeing other places flop on themes that should be very easy to building a room around.
