Group size
Covered in the table above. Some venues set a higher pair price, and some charge a minimum per room, so check the price for your exact headcount.
Weekday or weekend
Many venues charge more for Friday night and weekend slots. Escape Room LA charges $40 per person on weekdays and $48 on weekends for 3 to 5 people.
Not every venue does this, and some only raise prices for evening slots. Compare two dates before you book.
Private or public booking
In a public booking, separate groups that book the same time slot can end up in the same game. A private booking keeps the room for your group only, as Trapped! Las Vegas explains.

Premium rooms, longer games and live actors
