Help the Professor find his missing crystals Mr Copplestone aka “The Professor” is an inventor. His greatest invention is the world’s first time machine, built so he could travel through space and time to find interesting objects and life saving potions to sell in his curiosity shoppe. The time machine is powered by Time Echo Crystals, these crystals are rare and only a small quantity exist in the world. Without them the time machine won't work. Such a precious commodity must be stored & guarded carefully to ensure the future of time travel can continue. There's just one problem with that - Mr Copplestone! He may be a genius, but he's the most forgetful man you could ever meet. This morning when he opened his box of Time Echo Crystals he found only one left inside, where could he have put them? Mr Copplestone and his wife Margaret live on Chapel Street in the year 1873. We can't rely on Mr Copplestone finding the missing crystals alone so if you're brave enough to jump into his time machine and use the last remaining crystal we have to head to 1873 you could save the future of time travel. . However the time entry vortex is weak and can only stay open for one hour, get back inside before it closes and bring any crystals you find with you so we can keep them safe back in the future ready for our next time travelling adventure.

One of my favourite rooms I remember, it’s very large, very nicely made, very professional. There’s lots of locks but you never have to guess which one you need.

FINALLY! I get to do the famous Curiosity Shop. We are a team of 5 and there is plenty to keep everyone busy. Non linear and so many puzzles to work through as you race to beat the time. The theming is exceptional and as they only have 1 escape room open at a time, we will wait in anticipation for the next one to open!

A lot of people had told us how good this room was and the ‘special’ mechanic had to be seen for itself. We agree! Really enjoyed this room and will be trying to do the other rooms in the months that they are available. The set is fantastic and the puzzles all make complete sense even if they don’t immediately seem obvious.

Gameplay was solid. Not particularly difficult but the number of puzzles was seemingly endless. We hit their “escape threshold” before the halfway mark but continued to solve prestige-building bonus puzzles for the full hour. As a completionist, I have mixed feelings about this rest and go approach which I detail in the puzzle section of my review. Game was almost entirely lock-based and could be elevated with the addition of technical elements. Theming and story arc are immersive and extend across all of their games - creating a visually stunning and unique game experience. DMs were lovely. Great day, great room. We loved it.

Waited a long time to get to this room and it did not disappoint. Loads of puzzles to keep you occupied and run by a super friendly team. Already booked for the rest of the year in the other rooms.

Another exceptional game by Escape Quest. With an initial “problem” to solve you can at that point choose to leave the game or continue for the full hour. I don’t know why you’d leave at that point though when there is so very much on offer. Puzzles which appeal to all are on offer throughout and will keep you entertained for the full hour.

This has shot to the top of our list as our all time Favourite. You could do this a beginner and love it, but they’ve definitely played to the enthusiasts carefully and I love the fact that you’ll get the whole hour, regardless of how good or bad you are solving puzzles. It would also really suit bigger groups, but we had plenty of fun as a two. Can’t wait to bring our friends back next time to try one of their others when they rotate games!

Omg, loved this one!! The game is set on a street, with shopfronts and some thay open. Probably one of the best UK rooms we have done.

The idea of puzzle rests has grown considerably with “Daylight Robbery” at Cryptology and “UI-55”| at Compendium. This is a similar idea where you have a considerable number of puzzles to solve in order to find time crystals. The setting is amazing and reminiscent of “Loot the Lanes”, the more crystals you find then other shops open up to you. Not all shops will as the overall game will change every so often almost guaranteeing repeat visits (I know I will). A massive range of puzzles from obvious searches to cunning logic puzzles, audio driven ones and observational.
