Can you survive a horror film? This murderous horror movie fan wants to watch you try. Each player will take a quiz before the game to determine which character they are: The Nerd, Virgin, Jock, Rebel, Prom Queen, or Detective. Your team will be divided into separate rooms where you must work individually and as a team. Not only do you need to escape, but you must also survive! Who will live? Who will die?

I was nervous for this room because Crossroads is known for their "scare" factor but this room exceeded my expectations. The Hex Room is more spooky than scary but a scaredy cat like me managed just fine so a little courage could get you through just fine! In the beginning, they have you fill out a questionnaire, in which you will be put into different roles - the Nerd, the Virgin, the Prom Queen, the Rebel, the Jock, and the Detective. The roles will determine what room you end up starting in! If you have played this escape room before, just let the game master know. That's what I love about this actually - there is a replayability aspect. As for the rooms themselves, I was in the "Rebel" room and I liked my puzzles. They were satisfying to complete. You all start off in your separate rooms and work together at the end. The split-start is my absolute favorite and I think moving forward, that I'll start looking for split-start games because it gives a person enough time to do the puzzles independently and to also work cooperatively with others. Parking is relatively easy since they have a lot all to themselves. I can't wait to do their Weeping Witch room (we just need to find people who would want to do it with us). I did this with a group of 7 and I think 6 would be ideal but 7 is still a good time.

Great split room! Lots of puzzles to solve and everyone will have a different experience. It's a place that warrants some repeatability (do this room twice or more!) which is still rare for escape rooms nowadays, so definitely give Crossroads a chance! Lucas was our glamorous host and really got us into the mood. Would suggest a strong team of 6-7 to make sure you all survive and get out in time. Go feeling like yourself, you'll be in for a nice surprise. Don't be afraid of the dark. We did have to use some hints, but once was usually enough to get us going.

You can definitely play this with a big group. Rooms were pretty scary

This is one of my favorite rooms to bring a bigger group too! Especially for newer escapers who want to try solving puzzles alone! The atmosphere is spooky but not too scary, however I would not recommend this room for younger children. Every player has to fill out a questionnaire before playing and then you get casted as a stereotype in a scary movie (prom queen, nerd, jock, etc). Everyone is in their own room to start out. Once you escape your own room everyone escapes the cabin together! Super fun and the quality is excellent!

Best room ive done handsdown… dont have to worry about working less than other people, each player will have their own fairshare of making it out. Not to mention the rooms hold great detail.

The Hex Room is a must! The concept of having to escape a horror film is so interesting. Everyone got out and half of our group got their survivor medallions. The room has a couple of jump scares and a loud portion with the crackling of electricity.
