Can you survive a horror film? This murderous horror movie fan wants to watch you try. Each player will take a quiz before the game to determine which character they are: The Nerd, Virgin, Jock, Rebel, Prom Queen, or Detective. Your team will be divided into separate rooms where you must work individually and as a team. Not only do you need to escape, but you must also survive! Who will live? Who will die?β

Amazing room! Came here based on a recommendation and it really lived up to the hype. My group escaped right at the last minute. I do like the replayability aspect of the room, and it's definitely a room to be replayed! Overall, it was a great homage to the horror movies I enjoy and played up those tropes perfectly down to the decor; there were really fun references to spot! I will say, while it isn't scary, the room will freak out people who get spooked easily. One of my group members asked to leave due to that, but the place- particularly GM Niko helped out.

This room is incredible! It takes an exact number of players because everyone is blindfolded and led into separate rooms at the beginning... and you have to work together to get out. Each player has their own "role" and their own challenges. And each player has their own box to solve. If everyone solves their boxes, AND the group gets out in time... then you survive! But only a small percentage of groups actually survive completely. We went in with 5 players, which is the minimum you'd want. I think they can put more than one player in each room, but if you're with an experienced group, you don't need more than 1. It was my friend's first game ever, and she did great! The rest of the family supported her through it... we're very experienced.

An escape room with a fun twist. I enjoyed getting into the roles. I donβt feel like the puzzles were particularly hard/none of them stood out but the environment was very cool. Having the right team balance is super important in this room. Think carefully about who you bring

Hex is a great room if you like solving stuff on your own but still under pressure! I have been both detective and rebel and all the puzzles for the room are creative and well thought out. The nice thing is this room you can do it multiple times since thereβs many roles you can do! Definitely one to recommend!

Our GM Kaylie was fantastic, she built up the atmosphere so well and was so kind and pleasant and made our experience fantastic. It was fun and spooky but not too bad.

I loves this escape room! The themeing was great and between the 5 of us, we had a great time figuring out the story. It was a tad spooky tho

Game is fun, and atmosphere is on point, however I think the room feels a little dated at this point. I think this game was probably ground breaking when it came out, but playing it now with around 20 games under my belt, there was a lot that I experienced in Hex Room that Iβve experienced in other rooms already. My guess is that hex room was foundational inspiration for lots of games that came after them and expanded upon the elements. Good spooky room for early players, but donβt expect to be blown away. Weeping witch at the same location is far more impressive in my opinion.

Despite our experience, this was the first room we've played of this type. I can't imagine that a hex room could be any better executed. This is a great game to play for team building. It wasn't my favorite experience, but it was exactly as advertised.
βIf you haven't played Hex yet, what are you doing?β
βTo offer such a wide variety of puzzles, Cross Roads outdid their market peers.β

βThe Hex Room was one of the coolest things Iβve ever seen.β
