SET: the set is impressive. It feels like youβre on a moving train and the addition of forced air in a few areas really add to the immersion. STORY/PLOT: this is the one area where the room lacks a bit, but itβs the part of an escape game that I care the least about. PUZZLES: there is a nice mix of mechanical and technical puzzles, and a couple that really stand out. STAFF: we played 6 rooms in a day, and Steve at the front desk was great coordinating our day, making sure that each GM knew our hint preferences, etc. Each GM was also amazing and you can tell that the entire staff are enthusiast and really enjoy their jobs. This is a great experience and one that you should play if youβre in Phoenix.

The room setting and Emerson was fantastic. The clues and the game flow is what we didnβt like.

Surprisingly good. We were traveling for my 100th room, and tried to squeeze in a few extra rooms, and this one was a surprise! Do keep in mind the whole room sways the entire time (a la a real train), and this can be turned off on request.

Really well done room. Some props/puzzles didn't work, but that is normal to happen on occasion. Felt a little motion sick at the end, but still a great time

The gimmick here is large screens and motion elements for immersion. This was a solid room, but did require some backtracking and had a few obscure/obtuse solves. This has some solid tech and puzzles that make good use of its theme and (admittedly thin) plot. Definitely worth expriencing.

This one we had been really excited for and anxiously waiting for it to come out. The set was absolutely extraordinary and was very impressive, HOWEVER, the story was bad, none of us really knew what the point of the room was and only really knew part of the end goal. We thought it'd reveal more over time, but it didn't. Other than that puzzles were creative and a good use of space, they definitely used a couple of puzzles I hadn't seen, or hadn't seen in a while. Props to their staff, they're always very helpful and pleasant to talk to.

One of the newer rooms at North Valley, we were really impressed by the set design in this one - you feel like you're ON A TRAIN (mostly). There was a good variety of low tech and higher tech puzzles - I will say that I'm not sure if I got the point of the "steampunk-ness" of it. The one week point in this felt like the story. Despite the great set, it didn't necessarily feel like we were actively contributing to a story and afterwards we agreed we didn't even know what we were supposed to be there for. Also want to shout out the staff they have there - they're always amazing.

Loved the team at North Valley Escape room are great. We wanted to do every room there, but weβre visiting from out of town. Such a great energy there.

My two person team HATED this room. The objective was never clear and you spent alot of time wondered what you were supposed to be working on. I still think that many people would like it, and I appreciate the room for it's unique puzzles and amazing set design. Those smoke and mirrors don't make up for the flawed game play through.
βThe overall set for the game was over-the-top amazing, from the intricate woodwork ...β
