Pretty fun room with heavy actor interaction in a unique way. Lots of gathering/collecting items. We opted for the extra spicy version which took the awkward discomfort level a bit too far for us at one point. I think the medium cheeky version would have been just fine.

We played the dirty version and except for a couple of times we were really expecting a higher level of raunchy, or maybe my whole groups minds are too far down in the gutter. One of the games left the whole group saying “what was that” after we rehashed on our car ride home. Overall it was an ok experience I would say without the level of interaction from the GM this room would have been more lack luster and boring

Game plays as an RPG. You follow the rules and you’ll advance through the game. There’s no puzzle solving involved. We played Dark version and yeah, it was a trip seeing my husband “f*ck” a frog

An interesting mixture of an escape room with interactive characters. Puzzles weren't hard, but you had to remind yourself to ask the right questions to the characters to get what you need. We had 4 players which was the right size. I don't remember there being many traditional locks and the storyline was very fun!

I wanted to love this game coming into it, but i’m afraid calling it a “game” gives it a little more credit than it deserves. We played the regular version, Malediction, after hearing that the dark version of this game was just a little too over the top, and gets a little too personal for my liking. As fun as the interaction with the actor in this room can be- they cannot save this room on their own, and it’s unfair to put it entirely on them. It became a never ending game of give and take with the actor, only receiving items from them personally after doing something for them in return. I can count on one hand the amount of actual puzzles that we had to complete for this room. It sorta left me wanting more, and just not totally satisfied, which I’m not used to feeling with Quest Room. Sort of a bummer honestly.

We played the adult dark mode. After reading conflicting reviews about how it can get weirdly sexual vs dark humor- we talked to the GM and they were super nice and worked with us on how to run the room. Ambiance and sets were great. The interactions were hilarious and we were cracking up throughout the room. You are required to do things to get help so be prepared for that. This is more 50/50 on puzzles vs play interaction as well. Story was fun and we had a great GM. Definitely a fun time if you have a great group willing to get into it!

We struggled with whether or not to play the dark version and the game master was very generous in explaining we can play dark without “weird sexual stuff.” It was a really good fit for us and we had a great time.

Different from your typical escape room in that the flow is more “complete tasks” and less “solve puzzles”. Our game masters were fabulous - 100% in-character (we opted for the dark version).

Spell Breakers, Malediction, or Malediction Dark (what we picked) is a lovely example of thrill theater. Not to difficult puzzles mixed with humor and plenty of theatrical events. A must play if you’re in the area!
