The Escape Game creates some of the best escape rooms in the industry, and it was so special to play the first room they ever made. It was definitely more traditional or “analog” than their most recent rooms, but they put together a pretty awesome game for the technology they had available to them at the time. Plus I’m sucker for music themed rooms, and the atmosphere in this room rocked!

Cool room, but very analog. It’s also pretty outdated. We found a lot of the puzzles pretty frustrating, just because there were so many different ways to interpret them. It’s also a very linear room, so a lot of the time was spent with one of us doing some thing and the other waiting for them to finish it. I would call this the worst room of this brand, we’ve done the rest of theirs and this one was notably worse than all the others. That's not to say this is a bad room, it's still better than a lot out there, but it's a very basic room compared to their others and needs some TLC. The staff is fantastic though, and it’s still a very nice room. It doesn’t feel cheap or broken like a lot of the more rundown rooms that we come across. It still feels very nice.

For TEG’s first game, it’s good. I think it’s worth a play through, but TEG has improved SO much over the years that I would recommend the other games at this location over this one. I enjoyed it because I got to see how far this amazing company has come over the last 10 years.

Nashville is the 1st ever room at the 1st ever TEG location. This room, which is the only iteration of it in about 50 locations for this nationwide company, is a big part of escape room history. It’s honestly nowhere near as good as the consistently phenomenal offerings from TEG. It feels old, there’s a bunch of similar locks just to open one door, and the tech and puzzles feel outdated. It still was fun, though, and not just because it’s a legacy room. I liked the unique theme of country music production, perfect for Nashville. And some puzzles were great aha moments! This is not the one to go with if you’re limited in time and/or money, but if you want to do an exclusive room found only here… well, go to the Ruins! But give this a try too if you have extra time!

This was an okay to good room with a stellar but underwhelmingly implemented theme. Considering that this is the room that started it all for this company, it is a good room. Its age is showing. Not mad I played it, but maybe could’ve spent my time on another one of their rooms with a bit more excitement. Still, I’m happy to have done it alongside two other outstanding rooms in one night!

For The Escape Games’ first design, this is a good game fitting for their city of origin. The puzzles were cute and tied into Nashville’s history while keeping the flow of your game.

This room was definitely dated, but my group and I still had fun playing the room even though we spent less than 30 minutes in the room. The puzzles are fairly simple and a lot of current escape rooms tactics do not apply to this older room. The room is well themed and has a few great themed puzzles. Overall the room wasn’t awful, but definitely not the best the escape game has to offer. It’s worth playing, maybe just after you play the other games at this location.

This was my 4th game at a The Escape Game franchise and the age of this room really shows. Knew going in it was a gen 1 room but unfortunately, even within that realm, it didn’t hold up. Some puzzles were painfully obvious while other lock combinations were cliche. Given the great other choices here (Ruins, Playground, etc), there isn’t really a need to play this room unless you’ve done all of the other 7 and want to do it to see where this franchise started.

It’s a good room.. it’s very 1st gen (all locks) but it’s still fun
