MUST PLAY Pros: - Am I in Disneyland? Is this Indiana Jones? Truly the most elaborate and coolest set I’ve ever seen in my life - GM (Peyton) was funny - Had to do things I’ve never done in an escape room before Cons: - Puzzles require finding or looking at small objects - Some clues are misleading - Because the room was so massive, I can’t fucking hear anybody - Story doesn’t exist basically, ending is underwhelming 9/10 (amazing, a must play, but not perfect) (Honestly the production value hard carries it, the other aspects are more average)

Hands down the best escape room my group has ever done. Instant classic. Worth the trip!

Wowowow. This is the room that you will tell people about simply because of the wow factor. I’ve seen some impressive set designs for escape rooms but this is the most impressive yet. I felt like I was in a cross over between Treasure Island and Indiana Jones. You just wish that you could stop and appreciate the immersion but you can’t, because time is running! The puzzles were not satisfying to solve for me. It started off great, but then when we asked for a hint, our game master was inattentive. When we asked for a clue, her clues were things that we already knew, which she would have known if she was watching us. She also did not make conversation with us as we walked down the long hallway and after our hour, she was short with us when we asked about certain puzzles in the room. I personally don’t like how I can identify the puzzles that annoyed me because there was assumed knowledge. A good design would not have made those assumptions. I don’t think my dislike would actually affect the rating of this room but I think they need to decide what storyline they want to go with, or make the storyline a little more cohesive. Also, one of the puzzles made our teammate nauseous and that would have been good to know beforehand.

I have to first say. This room has so much potential, I've done over 70 rooms at this point and I was actually floored with how amazing and immersive the set design is. But the game master, Kate in this case, wasn't responsive and really set a sour tone for us in the second half of this room. We were asking for help and were given unhelpful clues and followed by being ignored. Her explanation at the end didn't give us much closure either. Some of the puzzles while thematic and interesting, just felt like we were wasting time and didn't end with that satisfying solve. But rather just a "I guess we're done with this one, what's next. We did 4 rooms in one day, and I really wanted to love this room." But I left feeling the worst I've felt in a long time after doing an escape room.

This is one of my favorite rooms to date. I have long been a fan of Spielberg's Pirate and Treasure themed film and this game will make you feel like you are right in the middle of it. Although all of the games at 13th Gate score high on the atmosphere, this one was something truly special. I can't recommend this game enough. Say Hi the bird for me.

Phenomenonal. So far outside the box of what you expect from and escape "room"!

Wow factor for sure! This was the first out of 5 games I played at 13th Gate and it remained my favorite. Multiple reveals that made us gasp! Unique puzzles.

Jaw -> floor - if you only play 1 game here, let it be this one

This game gets a like because of the set design and a few fun solves but, much like many of their other rooms, a lot of their puzzles seem to just be difficult enough to make you waste time rather than get a satisfying solve.
“Cutthroat Cavern is so damn good that simply put, no game can hold a candle to it...“
“I'd have to say that I experienced sensations that I have not felt in a long time ...“
“It was an incredible ... game from the set, to the events, to the effects, to the overwhelming scale“
