The Alchemist

This was a cinematic experience, something that left our jaws open and kept us talking for hours afterwards. Probably the best I've been to. The immersive and very, very well made mechanics/props combined with very fluently progressing puzzle and story was a perfect combination for the whole family. Pure wow.

I thought that The Vault would never be beaten and it hadn’t until we revisited Sherlocked. This room was phenomenal, an absolute whirlwind of puzzles, immersion and just us all looking at each other with dropped jaws. If you are in Amsterdam, this is an absolute must. Do not leave until you have visited this room.

Just play. This game delivered an onslaught of memorable moments that had our hearts bursting with joy. As an owner, I was often left asking “whyyyyy” which was hard to articulate because my jaw was on the ground. And the only answer I can come up with is love. Go. Fall in love. This game was made for us.

Beyond escape rooms, The Alchemist is some of the best art I’ve had the honor to experience. Beginning to end, I was swept away into a seamless puzzle adventure that moved me to tears. This game is going to change the narrative of interactive experiences. Go play it — be delighted and inspired.

Played as a team of 4, along with the other 2 rooms at Sherlockd. We weren't sure if we were going to get to play, as game had broken the night before, and had had email from them telling us this. Their communication re this was excellent. Room was spectacular, and puzzles were also very good, with things we hadn't seen before .There was one element of the game which I thought was out of theme of the rest of it, which to me broke the immersion. Still a very good game and spectacular set. Definitely play in Amsterdam!

Wow. Just wow. What a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Great storyline, fine puzzles and the set design is terrific. Has to be a “must do” when in Amsterdam. Loved it.

I’ve always loved The Room series of games. I played them before I even set foot in an escape room. A few games have come close to emulating what I must imagine being in one of those games would be like, but I imagine The Alchemist nailed it. The game genuinely feels like it draws from the same archaic, mechanical mysticism in terms of effects and gameplay. I was blown away by the opening reveal and it only got crazier from there. Utterly beautiful, moving experience.
