Only Murders In The Building

As a big fan of the show and an escape room enthusiast, I checked in everyday to see if I could snag a reservation to do this escape room. My partner and I finally got one for 11:30 PM on a Sunday night and we were so excited. It was the last week before they were going to take it down so we had to go! The wait was worth it. We did the Escape Game LA's Heist escape room before, and so this room is a reinvention of that and more! The puzzles played with the senses and it paid great homage to the show while offering something new. The storyline is stellar and did not spoil anything for us (since the show was still happening). I hope that they continue to do more Hulu partnerships in the future. Our game master was fantastic. We sped through this room and he shared that we were the most fun couple he has watched play this game.

Love the fact that Escape Games did a collaboration with Only Murders, but when they do events like this. They have to open up more time slots. We got lucky and slid in a time slot at 11:30 pm during the "hurricane". Yes we were that desperate. And it was worth it! (Only because the hurricane didn't technically hit yet) This was a great renovation of their "Heist" Room. While it was technically the same room so we had an idea on where to look for the same puzzles, it paid a great homage to the show and was different enough that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Plus it was free and we got some free swag! Much appreciated Escape Games and Hulu, until the next time!

Was able to snag a reservation for this OMITB promo! 2/3 of us are fans of the show and all the references were so great! Simple linear room and only needed one hint which relied on our ability to smell. (Since the promo room is over, I’m okay with spoiling this part.) Thanks to our GM, The Escape Game, Hulu, and to OMITB for this absolutely free ER experience! Dude, we even got promo gifts haha.

Glad I got to attend this pop up escape room.

Honestly, so much better than The Heist. I wish they could just keep it like this. The theming, the storyline, the atmosphere, all top notch. Maybe it helped that we also love OMITB, but either way, this is an excellent game start to finish.

If you love the show you would love this room even if you don’t watch the show the room was cool

So happy we were able to experience this Room! Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Such a fun room! Kallen was an amazing GM!

Trevor was our GM and he was AMAZING! Loved the room, it had a lot of show references that you’ll love if you want the series. The puzzles were unique and very well themed. I hope they can keep this room for a while longer! It’s a good one!

TEG’s Only Murders in the Building pop-up game is a BLAST! It takes space in the same space as their “The Heist” game, but aside from a small handful of carryovers from the original game, OMITB is all new. The set is as lovely as any other TEG game and the puzzles all were a blast. If you can get tickets, PLAY IT!!

I've always had great visits to The Escape Game, and this promo game was no different. The GM's and staff were fantastic and welcoming, and excited to have us play. Found the choice of base room to use a good one as the puzzles worked well within the theming of the show. I do wish that there had been an alternate option to solve the one scented puzzle, as myself and one other player in my party have scent triggered migraines, and that was quite a struggle for us. I did mention to the staff that it would be helpful to have an additional solve on that and they were thankful I mentioned it. We all enjoyed our little gift for playing the room, and had a great time.
