Liked: - Great room reveals and progression. Small space, but felt big. - Great mix of puzzle styles - Non-linear, but with clear progression within each section. I've done non-linear games that had lots of little pieces, but they didn't tie together until near the end of the game. This game had several non-linear sub-lines running at once. Felt more satisfying to have several "We finished this series of puzzles" as we went than dozens of little puzzles. - Fantastic vibe and atmosphere. - Very satisfying and clear ending. Cleverly done and super surprising! (No spoilers, but we were all very happy with how things finished!) Could Improve: - Things started abruptly. The front desk staff were in the room with us, and awkwardly sort of transitioned into being "in character", if you could call it that, as we signed the waivers and went to the room. - There were 3 instances where a puzzle would only work if another (sort of related) puzzle was also in a solved state first. Not all bad, but it wasn't clear. So, each of those times, we solved a puzzle, then were like "OK, but nothing happened", then proceeded to second guess, only for the GM to have to tell us "That's correct, but this also needs to be done". I wish there were some way to say "You completed this micro-puzzle, now find other things to do!", or to direct you to the first in a string of puzzles more obviously/. Definitely recommend this room. 3 people felt like a good size, but 2 more could comfortably fit. Nothing "mind-blowing", a lot of "That was really well done!", and no "That was lame/frustrating". Escaped with 11:30 remaining. 2 semi-experienced players, 1 newbie.

This was such a fun room! The theming and the atmosphere were amazing! The puzzles were unique and there was a lot to do for 3 people! The tech wasn’t working, and we didn’t get an intro on to the theme but it was a great time!

I feel super mixed about this room. If there was a 🫳🏻 “ehh” hand, between thumbs up and down, I would pick it. What ultimately ticked to thumbs up was the work that went into the setting and atmosphere. I really can appreciate the effort, vision, and execution of an amazing set up. Our experience was not filled with the fun and thrill of other escape rooms because there were three puzzles/items that were malfunctioning, plus, the ultimate reveal of the victory had us scratching our heads. Two of us (in a group of five) completed the final puzzle without even knowing we were winning the room, while the other three were in another place still working on a puzzle that ultimately had no impact on us winning the game (because of a malfunction). That excitement of a win and escape was flattened and it was quite disappointing.

This escape room has one of the most innovative and unique concepts that I've seen. Everything from the props, to the storyline, to the introduction/onboarding video, I was fully immersed to the experience. I would not recommend this as your first escape room because all the other rooms would be pale in comparison. I think it's a fair assessment to say that this is a dificult room because of the number of puzzles that your group needs to complete within the time alloted. My group had four members, and this was a good flow given that there were some nonlinear and linear elements. Parking could be difficult given that this location is in downtown LA but there is a parking lot within walking distance that has a reasonable fee.

Fantastic Room! So much ground to cover in just 60 minutes and you walk in truly not knowing what to expect. The story unfolds as you go and lots of surprises that we didn't expect going into this room! I think this room is perfect for 4, but if you want to experience chaos, by all means invite everyone along. The restaurant sits more than enough.

A really top notch room! We loved how the game “opened up” from the first room, and appreciated how immersive the space was. The exploration felt really expansive. Puzzles were intriguing, though a lot would probably be trivial to someone who can read Chinese (we could not). Very non-linear and yet with a satisfying “escalation” so we ended on a real high. Strongly recommended!

*Very* cool set design & commitment to theme. Several puzzles can be solved independently of each other, so most people in our group of six always had "something to do," which I appreciated. We solved it pretty quickly but I imagine it would take notably longer with a smaller team. Super fun, had a good time!
