It’s been a month since you’ve heard from your best friend Greg who went on that hunting trip with their Uncle Frank. Suddenly, your phone gets a ping of your friend Greg’s location. Following your GPS, you and your friends make it to Greg’s last known location…a cabin in the woods. Nothing should go wrong and you’ll definitely find Greg…right?

This room is FUN! Some puzzles left our group a little frustrated, and were a bit hard to understand. We also had a hard time contacting our GM when we needed help. I don’t think it was because she wasn’t paying attention, I don’t think she could hear us. There a wooden floor that squeaks (I assume on purpose) and it is VERY loud and VERY annoying. We were getting frustrated with the constant noise. I’m autistic and I was finding myself getting overstimulated from the constant creaking. However, the actual gameplay was very fun and I really recommend to play this room for a good spook without going overboard scary!

Immersive!! Went with a team of 7, which was initially great, got a little cramped at the end. But totally fun. This is one of 2 all original rooms at this location. Gamemistress was totally responsive to our limited clue requests. Storyline definitely builds on previous clues. Not too many locks, lots of brain teasers. Its a bit dark, you get flashlights. Really enjoyed it.

This was awesome! It was the perfect amount of spooky and playful that really made the room fun! The puzzle were challenging but easy to flow between one another, our GM Trevor really added to the spooky atmosphere!

This one was cool! It was super brief in the beginning so we didn’t know much about what we were getting ourselves into, which added another layer in this onion of a great crafted escape room. Our game guide was great and very welcoming though we were sadly late, and the game itself was beautiful. The scenery during the room is great and the props seem pretty legit. You can tell a lot of thought went into this one and I do agree with the hype it receives!

Good room. Flowed well. Two of us finished with 25 minutes left. For experienced players you will have a good time, but I wouldn’t bring a big group. Not enough to do for a large group. Atmosphere was excellent. Staff was excellent.

What an excellent room! It was beautifully designed and the gameplay, while tough, was unique and exciting. The spooky ambience kept making me think that something would jump out at me lol. While the story was kind of cliche, this room still was amazing definitely one of my favorites!

Lovingly crafted, very atmospheric and moody, with relatively smooth, moderately challenging gameplay. This is the right amount of ominous and spooky without being heart-stoppingly scary, or overly grotesque and violent. Gameplay is a mixture of tried and true puzzles, many harkening from Gen 1 style escape rooms (lock solving and more and pattern recognition). A few inspired and reimagined puzzles that were on theme and definitely clever, and a nice few surprises and reveals as the game progresses. With that in mind, it’s still not a theme I’d recommend for anyone under the age of say 15 or so. It’s surprisingly pretty dark thematically speaking. Given the subject matter, it also, surprisingly, manages to capture a real threat of menace and danger lingering throughout, while also showing a good deal of restraint by not being a gorefest of any kind, unlike a lot of escape rooms with similar themes would usually indulge. Probably one of the best rooms in a “safe scary” kind of way for people looking to have some fun, creepy thrills. Not the scariest I’ve played by miles, but a very effectively spooky and atmospheric room.

Disappearance is the only game at Will to Escape that was created in-house. It's well done and worth the visit. One thing that is difficult when building an escape room is trying to create puzzles and elements that complement the story and make sense for the scene. This game pulled it off, which is worth a heart. I'm excited to see what they can build next, as this was a great first-room build.
