Our first two hour game. Split to start and we were apart most of the game. A questionable caution from the game master, told not to pull on something when actually, thatβs exactly what we had to do. Otherwise this a great game to attempt and deserving of its award winning titles.

One of the more interesting βsplit the teamβ rooms that I have seen. They are fully committed to the bit: you will stay separated for the vast majority of the game, and virtually all of the puzzles require communication and collaboration. I enjoyed this but it is definitely something to be aware of. I felt that some of the puzzles were a bit underclued in terms of knowing you were on the right track, whereas others had clear feedback. But there is generally only one thing that the group can make progress on at a time and it does a nice job of shifting the focus back and forth between the two teams. The finale puzzle is impressively elaborate. Recommended.

The game was fine. A lot of finding a key that opened a box that contained another key. A lot of waiting for other side to do things. Game master was rude and snarky to me on my birthday and made me feel dumb when I was simply just trying to figure something out myself. I just have bad vibes from this company

Thereβs too much to do that relies on your partners from the other room, which is fine, except visibility and auditory makes it incredibly difficult to actually communicate. And, there isnβt a lot to do in each room. The split room experience in this room just didnβt do it well. I wanted to like this one so badly too because of how much time you had, but it was just difficult without reason (clues werenβt hard, but they didnβt connect correctly).

Cool idea to split up the group, but ended up feeling unsatisfying to me as an experience. Would have enjoyed more escape time together. Overall, it somehow feels on both sides like you're spending a lot of time sitting around and waiting. Still fun, though, especially because you get so much bang for your buck. Well designed overall, too, I think.

Not enough to do on the one side. Split room, limited and the puzzles didnβt make βstoryβ sense.

So. Much. Waiting. So. Little. Puzzling. This experience was tedious at best. None of us enjoyed ourselves, which is a feat considering how much we all love escape games. Our groups on either side of the experience thought it might have been better on the other end, but no, both were equally unpleasant.
