Lab Rat takes place in a laboratory where giant rats are doing odd experiments on human beings, specifically you! The somewhat unhinged Ratkenstein, a doctoral student in the field of human intelligence (or, in his estimation, the lack thereof), has tasked you with completing a series of tests and puzzles. If you succeed, he can finally write his dissertation. If you fail, he’s going to put you and your friends in the old test-subject chipper (like a wood chipper, but for test subjects!). You’ll have one hour to complete the tests and attempt to get out of the laboratory for good, before Ratkenstein turns you into mulch!

Super cute room with medium difficulty puzzles, good teamwork elements and a fun story

Pros: Cool story and theme. Puzzles were a good balance of challenging and fun. Room and story felt very immersive. GM was great with help while not ruining or taking us out of the immersiveness of the game. Good for groups ranging from 4-6. Parking was easy. No parking lot just street parking. Cons: Nothing

Overall very enjoyable room. Technical problems hurt the experience, but outside of that very solid room. Had a lot of fun, wish there were a bit more puzzles. Good for new players or intermediate players.

Labrat is a great and unique experience that has some pleasant surprises and unique gameplay. There's a decent number of puzzles to do scattered around a moderately larger set. Based on the other reviews, I was honestly expecting it to be over-the-moon in terms of production value, which it's not. It's still on the upper-end of experiences and definitely worth checking out, but I think it has the potential to be even greater if they decide to grace it with some upgrades. Overall, super fun and solid room despite the tech issues my group experienced.

One of the best rooms I’ve done so far. All puzzles made sense with the story and were well designed. Some of the puzzles are challenging but everything you need is right there you just need to pay close attention to detail. Our game master was super nice and did a great job of explaining everything to us. 10/10 recommend!

Very unique game with great puzzles. Some parts are a bit old and need maintenance but super fun

I typically tend to do spooky/scary rooms but this one was so much fun! The puzzles were really good and the room design was fantastic. We went with a group of 6 and everyone had something to work on or do

Pure fun and joy! From the deeply-weird videos of the aspiring doctor Ratkenstein to the pun-laden set to the sheer tactile diversity of puzzles to the intense degree of teamwork, the game shows a rare degree of attention to detail at every stage. Puzzles are fair yet challenging, physical yet thinky, and abstract yet attainable. If you don’t smile at least 5-6 times over the course of this game (the bare minimum), you may want to consult your doctor. One small knock is how the final puzzle doesn’t require any actual thinking, only testing inputs; it’s a delightful prop to interact with, but it lacks the AHA! rush of many of the preceding puzzles. That said, this is a game that holds up against the hype! Be prepared for a hell of a good time!

Really good room with fun gameplay, theme and story but the room (props etc.) was showing it's age.

Creative theme with lots of humor. The puzzles were great, and the atmosphere was packed with details.
