Will you escape Edward's basement? You and your friends have been kidnapped by Edward Tandy -- a cannibalistic serial killer with a fine taste for unique electronics, taxidermy, and of course human flesh. He has created a sick and twisted game of sorts in his deceased mother's home. He hopes to weed out the unintelligent and find those who are "worthy of escaping" by his late mother's standards. In THE BASEMENT, you and your team will have to employ keen communication skills, a finely tuned organizational prowess, and a general ability to keep your $h!t together under pressure if you want to survive. This is what we like to call a "funnel puzzle" where you will find numerous items and clues throughout the room. These items all come together to orchestrate your escape.

This was my very first escape experience and I was blown away! It started my passion for escape rooms and I couldn’t have asked for a better escape experience! A must do for everyone!

Man oh man. This room. I almost quit before we even got in. I was so scared. This is for sure the scariest room here. But not tooooo bad. My recommendation for this room is to tear it up and pay attention lol! Great decor and loved our actor!

Game was a good intro to the story. The game moves fast due to it being 45 min. I did like the actor that was in it, he made the experience more fun and interesting. It was not as scary as I thought it would be. The puzzles were not as difficult but were a lot to do in such little time. If we had one more person, maybe it would have gone more quickly. All in all It was a good and exciting experience. The Gamemasters were cute in trying to do a cute new introduction for us. We appreciated it and they were also very nice. I am excited to try the last two rooms.

I have played the Basement five times. I have gotten out twice. The last time was about two years ago. They will change it up if you have played it before to slightly different puzzles. The live actors are fantastic and the room is very well done. My only issue is that it seems l you collect puzzle pieces and some of which don’t go with the theme and there is not much direction of where to go or what to do. I get the premise which is great but there are some puzzles that just don’t make a lot of sense. This game has a creepy feel and maybe one jump scare if you aren’t expecting it but if you get a chance play here. Play all four rooms in succession they are fantastic

One of the best rooms! Very chaotic and so many things and areas to explore! Great theme.

Ok so the atmosphere and actor were amazing but the puzzles felt more like a scavenger hunt. Some puzzles were cool but some were really odd. A lot of collecting things

Our second favorite Basement room after the Study. Lots of searching-finding and puzzles to solve and I love a room with an abundance of puzzles. 45 minute clock is a challenge but doable with 2 players. Actor interaction was slightly less crucial and creative compared to the Courtyard and the Study, but all the Basement actors and staff have been awesome.

There’s a lot to like about this game but it’s not for everyone. Puzzles were plenty, and I liked the personal touch to the game (IYKYK). I think the set and pure shock value is what gets this game’s recognition.
“It's the hardest game they have, but don't let it scare you away.“
“... it’s an above average experience for sure.“
“The Basement was more in line with a horror survival video game...“
“From the sights and sounds, to the odors and textures, The Basement was on point.“
