What a throwback this room was! It's almost like the place was frozen in time in 1985. ...actually, I think that's part of the plot for this room! lol! It was incredibly interactive. Our family is really good at rooms, so some of the things came second-nature to us. Before the timer even starts we're already assessing our surroundings and trying to figure out how to move the things we need to move around. This one was fun, though--a full apartment to play with. The bedroom had really fun games that you got to be a kid again. The ENDING! Oh, man. No spoilers, but I really didn't see that one coming!!

Really enjoyed how the room progressed! Great references to 80s pop culture set within a family’s home. Finding out what happened to the Garretts is an intriguing mystery with fun twists and turns. Got through most puzzles after a few tries, but not everyone may have the same luck. But it’s fairly linear so everything usually makes sense eventually. I also think the puzzles and this overall time period and themes just clicked with me. I won’t spoil anything, so you’ll have to find out what happens for yourself!

Super immersive. The story was very fitting for the game. All of the various puzzles and ways to activate the elements was fun and innovative. Memory plays a large part, so make sure to focus.

Nostalgia galore! Highly immersive game. Classic old school 90s feel. Felt like you were in a home frozen in time. Lots of high tech surprises ingeniously disguised. Not overly difficult. Big twist at the end was the icing on the cake. Definitely tamale Rooms best game for my group. Doable with 2-4 depending on experience. Wouldn’t want more than 4.

My friends and I thought this room was quite challenging. There were a few puzzles that we thought weren't clear on how to complete, and did need guidance. However, set design was well-done and was still an interesting experience.

I played this with some family members who have never played an escape room before, but they still enjoyed the puzzles and theming. It was marvelous.

This is a unique storyline with a fun twist. For the most part, the puzzles flowed well. There were a few times that we were a little confused about what to do next, but I think this room is above average, and it's worth a visit.

Fun easter eggs if you have watched some older thriller movies! Prop design feels well done with a strange mystery to solve. This room is very linear with fun twists and unique mechanisms that I haven't done in any other room.

Our #Mortyfived team did three of their escape rooms at this location, and this was our first one! If you've played "Grandma's Master Plan" with the 60Out company before, this room reminded me of the 80s nostalgia that hits you as soon as you walk in. While the ending felt predictable to me, the storyline was still a blast regardless. If I had to choose though, I still liked Grandma's Master Plan more because of the number of puzzles. I felt as if this room could have more puzzles but maybe that’s just me! As for the room itself, I really enjoyed the experience because I have not seen these types of puzzles done before and they were fun! There was a good mix of tactile and tech. It had set design and game play, all qualities that an above average escape room should have. If you are going for the Leaderboard, you are not allowed to ask for any clues. For that reason, I highly recommend taking a look at the room after you escape, to fully appreciate the immersion and the references. Four is an ideal number of players but it can easily be done with two to three veteran players. The parking lot is small. I would suggest going during a non-peak time or allotting some time before your escape room starts to look for parking, since this location is in West Los Angeles.
