The year was 1984. Allan and Ann Garrett and their son, Matthew, disappeared without a trace. Now, nearly four decades later, the family is still missing and the case has gone cold. You must enter their old abandoned house, search for clues, and hopefully unravel the mystery to; Whatever happened to the Garretts?

The gameplay was exquisitely complex but great in details as the room was so amazing to be in. I love the nostalgia of it. 80βs based with a hint of mystery at the end. Very unexpected. I highly recommend this escape room to everyone. Best one so far for me.

Few rooms manage to have the trifecta of elegant puzzle design, intriguing story, and immersive set design like βWhatever Happened to the Garretts?β The room is completely devoid of red herrings. Everything uses real-world logic in a satisfying way. The solves are clean and thoughtful. The story is dynamic and engaging without relying on text or tremendous amounts of monologue. The set opens up in surprising and delightful ways. This room has mastered the balance between struggle and satisfaction. Itβs a masterclass in design. Play this immediately!

This room was one of the first I did over at maze rooms and all I can say is if you are interested in playing this one donβt wait, definitely recommend playing.

Really really loved the story and the flow of the game , would have be even better if some of the tech didnβt fail and slow us down. Lots of fun and canβt wait for what this game creator comes up with next.

Whatever Happened To The Garrettβs is a very fun room, with great thematic and story integration. The room contains a surprise twist, and while the twist itself isnβt too uncommon in escape rooms, this was probably the best use of it Iβve seen, the set, puzzles, illusion of choice and more during the twist were all fantastic. The room suffers by being very linear, which, with a group of 6 consisting of myself, my boss and my fellow Game Master coworkers, it meant there was a decent amount of just standing and waiting. They did try and fix this problem though, by having a decent amount of group linear puzzles, but there were an equal number of soloable puzzles. TLDR: Fantastic set and story, fun puzzles, but very linear, so if you have a bigger group, keep that in mind.

Great room design, great flow, loved the period references. Had a great time doing both this and their other room Tombstone back to back. The GM was also really nice to us as we were waiting on our room and between rooms.

My boyfriend and I are avid escape room enthusiasts. This by far was one of the best escape rooms I have done in Los Angeles. There are many twists and turns with the plot and although linear, it is dynamic with an incredible set. Alexa our game master was super super sweet and we couldnβt of had a better night this is the best maze room I have done

This was an all time favorite room. The design is stunning - really well done. The room is linear, so there arenβt any red herrings. Better for a smaller group for this reason. We did with a group of 4 and got out with 10 mins to spare.

This room was one of the best rooms I have ever been it and loved all the aesthetics. It really felt like I was in a real 80s house. Some puzzles were harder then others- but not the hardest room I have ever done. You should really look closely at everything because we missed something really easy at the beginning. I recommend doing this with three people. We cut it pretty close and finished with just a few seconds to spare. The only thing I can say that I donβt like about this room is the ending. It sent us off to space and we thought we had lost. What happened to the garrets shocked us and we thought we had definitely lost. When the game master came into the room we had to ask if we lost or not. We won oddly enough. Overall I though this was a wonderful room.

The theme was great, kept getting surprised after going into the next room.
