You've earned a second chance at freedom, but it's slim. About 3 months ago, Edward hired a man named John Peterson to help him make some "engineering changes" to an elevator shaft on his property. John quickly figured out that these changes he was being asked to make were indeed sinister in nature. When he confronted Edward, he was told that he could not leave until the project was finished or else his wife and daughter would pay the price. The project is complete and John is long dead. You've found yourself locked inside the elevator shaft. Will you and your friends be able to follow the steps John put in place for you? Or will you perish under the weight of a 6 ton steel elevator? This is the most technically advanced room The Basement has to offer. The Elevator Shaft delivers a level of realism and intensity that is unmatched in the world of Escape Rooms today.

Truly one of the all time greatest games! I played this many years ago and even after 160 games under my belt still think about and recommend this room to people. The pre-show set up, the set design, atmosphere, puzzles, everything works together so well. When you enter the room you'll think "where the hell are the puzzles?". The set really feels that authentic. Over the course of 45 minutes, the secrets revealed by this tiny room are top knotch and occassionally mind blowing. I still haven't experienced many of the special effects that are used here, in any other room. You must try and play with as few people as possible. Our group of four did great, but I wish it was just 2 or 3 of us.

Literally the coolest room I've ever done. Moving set pieces, WATER??, fog, and incredible puzzles. Such a memorable experience. I have never been more immersed or impressed by a room before. Fantastic!

You might want to wear clothes and shoes you can get dirty. Really fun room though ππ³β‘οΈπ

I did this one years ago and still think about it because it was so incredible. We didn't escape but it has the best special effects and set I've seen in an escape room and I would love to go back ππ 100 thumbs up

A room where less people is necessary. I'd even say go as low as 3 people because the space is so small. Think about how you go into elevators. You don't like it when it's packed with people, right? There were a few puzzles that didn't make a ton of sense to me and the "water" feature of the room was not as grand as I'd hope it'd be. The only room with no live actor as well.

This was the room I was most excited for here and was unfortunately the most disappointing. It's not bad by a long shot but with a group of 6 people, there just wasn't enough for everyone to do. It does have some really fun elements and is very thematic but it just lacks a "wow" factor that they other 3 rooms here have.

This is literally one of the coolest escape rooms I've ever done. Super interesting, very atmospheric, high tech, with some of the coolest and most immersive puzzles I've ever seen.

An intense and claustrophobic experience. Out of all the games offered by The Basement, this one was a standout.
βIt's a very fun set - you really are in that dark, gloomy, damp place.β
βGo get kidnapped and be tortured by Edward Tandy. You won't regret it.β
βThe Elevator Shaft was intense and smart. It contained a ton of cool moments.β
