We had a blast playing ‘Ex Libris’. It’s easy to see why it’s such a highly reviewed room. ‘Ex Libris’ offers bonus quests to soak up those leftover minutes for fast teams. It’s a great concept and the diverse collection of literary classics within the escape experience made for such an enjoyable experience. Croz was an incredible narrator for the room!

Ex Libris was such a good time from start to finish! Although there’s an incredible amount of puzzles to solve and space to explore, Next Level really prioritise the storytelling in this one. Having your own storybook narrator provide a constant flow of humour and assistance was such a unique touch. As Next Level’s oldest room it definitely could use a face lift in terms of set design but everything else still held up for me. Special shoutout to Aaron who was an absolute menace of a narrator and made the whole experience a blast!

Another great room at the Next Level venue, Ex Libris is a book themed adventure featuring a main quest and two optional quests. Diving into a multi theme adventure was a great deal of fun with many fun puzzles and a mostly comprehensible story. Game Master interaction was super fun, helping keep us on track whilst also getting involved with our bits, leading to a good time to be had by all. The initial room is a bit worn and stale but as their oldest room this is easily forgivable. Our GM Aaron was great, happy to talk us through any questions and hiccups along our journey. Will definitely be returning to tackle the rest of this venue soon!

Loved this room and this experience. This was the 3rd room we’ve done on our Sydney visit and loved them all. This was probably my 2nd favorite behind Forest of Echoes. If you love escape rooms you MUST visit Next Level and do this room. Enjoy!

Creative theme that was well executed. Solid puzzles that kept you busy but flowed well. Non linear game play makes this a great game for large groups but my group of 2 was still able to make it out completing all side quests. Game master engagement was perfect and I usually don’t care for GM engagement. It added to the theme, was always helpful and clear, and made for a really fun experience. Don’t hesitate to book this room, you’ll love it!

If you like linear rooms, this is not for you. If you like incredible, impeccably themed rooms with engaging staff, run… book this! It’s clear that Next Level cares about the experience. It’s a fantastic room and I cannot say enough great things about it.

Fun room with a lot of puzzles and a lot to do! Nonlinear story and fun sidequests to follow ontop of actually escaping the room! Commentary is fun and entertaining, didn‘t feel it being too much to be interrupting for out gameplay, though I can see how others would maybe like to focus and concentrate more. Puzzles are clever and hints easy to miss, but everything flows well and is well within theme. Room is pretty big, though, solving the puzzles requires actually some running around between all the puzzle pieces, so that was a bit challenging with 2 players :D Ideal player number would probably be like 4-5 players. All in all, a fun room, with clever puzzles, some nice twists, rooms and puzzles nicely within theme and a nice flow.

Non linear room with a heavy narration which was great for story but threw us off a little at the start- loved the themes and the variet of puzzle. Also great thag after getting everything to escape you can choose to complete further side quests. Did all objectives in the time given
