We decided to do one of the Cipher Rooms after a recommendation from the owner of another Escape Room who said they have one of the best rooms in the whole Sydney. And he was 100% right. We did it in a group of three and it was great fun. Great combination of traditional and modern solutions, some of the tasks were really interesting and we've never seen them before. Definitely requires an attention to detail but you'll have so much fun doing it!

We completed our first room at Cipher and Liam was a very gracious GM—- you can always tell when the person running your game is a certified escape room fan! The atmosphere was sensational- eerie but not gory. No jump scares. It really engaged the full range of senses and had a great narrative with no plot holes. Very clever! We’ll be back to complete all rooms on offer based on our experience.
Liam was a great game master

Completed with a group of 4. Not as scary as I feared, but had a “serial killer” vibe to set the scene. It was a good room with a lot of creative puzzles, though some were similar to other Cipher room puzzles, and since we had done some of the other rooms already, it wasn’t as novel. Still a great room nonetheless and thoroughly enjoyable.

The theming in The Cabin is absolutely next level. As self proclaimed escape room enthusiasts, I often found myself wondering around taking moments just to soak in the atmosphere and appreciate the intricate details of the set. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had been whisked away from the hustle of King Street in Newtown to a secluded cabin in the woods. The immersive blend of sounds, lighting, and props completely transformed the space. It's obvious that an immense amount of thought and craftsmanship went into every element of the room. When it comes to puzzles, The Cabin delivers a fantastic variety. What really stood out were the handmade puzzles—many of which we hadn’t encountered before, even after completing close to 50 rooms! That’s a rare find for seasoned escape room players. There’s an impressive balance of low-tech and high-tech puzzles, with some really clever mechanisms woven throughout. It’s worth noting that this is not your typical family-friendly room. The Cabin leans towards the eerie and creepy, but rest assured, there are no jump scares. It’s more about building a sense of suspense and atmosphere. I’d rate this room as quite challenging. Our team did end up utilising a few hints to make it through within the 60-minute time limit. As always, the game masters at The Cipher Room are always ready to offer guidance and aid in any way possible.

I was a bit nervous about The Cabin as it's Cipher's second oldest room and we had already done their three newest ones (Marlowe, La Rebellion & Mr. Pepper's), and there was a concern that it wouldn't live up to the others by comparison. Boy, was I wrong! The Cabin turned out to be another sublime escape room experience, definitely right up there as one of my all-time favourites. The theming was incredible -- super creepy atmosphere (but no real jump scares), and the puzzles were some of the most creative and fun I've done to date. Everything flowed so well and in line with the theme, and the ending -- as with all of Cipher's rooms -- was truly impressive. It was definitely challenging but not impossible -- we accepted one clue to point us in the right direction, though we probably shouldn't have as we would've gotten it eventually and we escaped with 10 minute to spare. I really can't say enough about all of Cipher's escape rooms. It makes me sad that I can only do each room once.

The five of us escaped this room. There was a delay in time because we're not familiar with English, but we're able to escape even if we're not good at English. The difficulty level was good without much difficulty.
