Don’t want to spoil too much so I’ll be vague. Such a unique room, unlike anything I’ve done before! The time made me a bit anxious but everything flowed super nicely. Brooke and Benjamin are wonderful at what they do. The immersion happened as soon as you reached the front entrance. Our group of 6 thought it was a perfect amount for us (I could potentially see bigger groups getting overwhelmed). Wonderful decor and well-done puzzles. Worth the hype!

I am admittedly not generally into immersive theater because I get too in my own head. The actors here are so talented at what they do that it feels seamless making even me feel at ease and part of the story. If you are on the fence because you get anxiety around immersive theater, please just do this. It’s such a great experience!

A must do game. Part immersive theater, part escape room. This game is top-notch.

So good!! My group and I loved the experience. We all went as novice escape room people but had such a blast that we want to continue doing more. Great staff, great set design, awesome atmosphere and challenging puzzles!

Wow. An awesome blend of escape room and immersive theatrical elements. The experience began as we stepped in the door and was maintained for our whole experience. One of the best rooms I have ever done.

This room is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere starts the moment you arrive, before you even step into the lobby. There are live actors which help usher you through the experience--I came into this part blind! I didn't realize they would be with us the whole way through! They were absolutely FANTASTIC. It's definitely on the creepy side, but I've seen worse! There was a lot going on so parts of the story were a little challenging to follow, but the puzzles were great.

After wanting to play this for a couple of years, we were finally standing outside of this location. The experience began at the moment we arrived, and what an experience it was! Fantastic actors made this so much more than an escape room, and it is the mix of the immersive theatre and the great puzzles that make this an experience you will remember. The balance of the two were really well done, and we felt like we got ample of time to experience and enjoy both parts of the game. This was our first game with an actor, and for some people it will feel difficult to embrace and interact with the characters as part of the room, but for me, I loved it. I’m just adding to the list of people saying you should play this one, so I am going to end on that: You should play this one!

There is almost nothing else like Hope End. Experience it now, if you can. This was our 200th room, and also our 1st room with a live actor, and it was a worthy room to celebrate our milestone in! The entire production is absolutely sensational! The game will have already started before even entering the lobby. Briefing us on our mission was a fun game of “yes, and” while giving us what we needed. Our live actress left me nearly speechless at times. The parts where she monologued was striking. And the parts where she spoke to us as a form of immersive theater was unlike anything else I’ve experienced in 200 escape rooms. Bravo, and Encore!! The set is wonderfully designed, in the style of an old manor. And the puzzles, particularly the ones that required real teamwork early on and the variety of tasks towards the end made me feel so smart and skilled. I got to do something that I never thought I’d do in an escape room. That’s all to say, the puzzles are no slouch, and in fact, are extremely integral to showing the plot of Hope End. I’ve never had to immerse myself so much into the world of the story in an escape room setting before. They are clever and all have purposes in the greater scheme. Finally, the ending was a special experience for me. I hear that there are different endings, and I absolutely believe this. This is not just an escape room. It’s the equivalent of opening a mystery book, and literally walking inside its pages. There is no real timer. You are whisked into this adventure until it’s over. You absolutely need at least 4 people to play this room, as we’ve been told. We were initially bummed because it looked like we would not be able to play this during our brief stay in LA. But I’m glad that in the end, we had hope.

Probably our favorite game of the 30-plus we have played. A must for any escape room enthusiast. Well worth the drive to Azusa.
