This was our first escape room. The movie in the beginning to tell the story totally confused us. Once we got started it was a little better. The clues were a bit hard to figure out. But then again this was our first one. I’d go with something easier for someone new to escape rooms.

Decent game that was better than expected! Very traditional lock heavy game that sometimes has too many locks that could be for your code. However still a solid game entering the nightmare of a girl. One jump scare but not scary. GM and hint style takes aware from immersion but this is what one would expect from a chain escape room. Nothing in this game is going to wow you if you are a vet but still I enjoyed this room mostly.

The experience at Red Door Escape Room was noticeably one at a franchise escape room. The room lacked some refinement and soul that you get with self built rooms. The intro to the story was told via a video, which confused more than anything, and the story couldn’t really be followed in the game itself. It seems like there is a lot more potential in the setting, as anything could be possible in a dream world, but the spaces felt quite mundane with very ordinary objects. There’s one puzzle in particular that felt tedious, where you knew what to do but didn’t really enjoy doing it. In general the solutions are less the “Aha!” type and felt more like “Wait, that worked?”, so the whole experience ended up being a bit unsatisfying.
