Going into this experience I had some hope that it would be a funner twist on a relatively standard horror theme. For the most part I’d say it was decent but this was a hard like for me. With some hit or miss puzzles we often found ourselves a little frustrated with the minimal information we had to with. The story itself sets itself to have the room be solved by diving into the “7 Deadly Sins” but the only real spiritual thing you get into is using Zodiac’s. Therefore I was left a little disappointed there. Although overall we managed to have a little fun here and some things just didn’t click with us but if you are willing def give it a try! :)

For our long awaited last round at Escape Goat we had a delightful time getting our treasure hunting skills honed. While certainly being the easiest in the Goat lineup it did offer some unique challenges and perspectives to standard puzzles that I really enjoyed! Set was well rounded and had tons of cool knik knacks that made the space feel much like its setting. The only off thing for me was the story and how some things present in the room were tied together. But by no means did that detract from the fun time we had here! If you are looking for a fishy time (not in smell thankfully) then Fisherman’s Tale is a great option :))

For our third round at Escape Effect we had a good but not extraordinary time. Theme and the set were awesome and puzzles were very novel which enjoyed a lot! Though our big problem here was the darker side of the game. We understood the point of it being a low lit dungeon but there were things that were hard to make connections with it being so dark. Although with that said we genuinely had a good time with the dynamic of the room and will be back soon for Odds with the Gods :)

Our second game at breakout. This one was much smoother and honestly we had a lot of fun despite how simple it was. Perfect two person game. The puzzles had just a right amount of challenge to them that it wasn’t a super breeze but wasn’t a bore to be in. The game also flowed very well and in one moment where had gotten to a hard stop we were immediately redirected which we really appreciated. One puzzle in particular I thought was super cool but nothing super unique passed that. Overall we had a fun time and by the end we were wanting there to be more :)

Another round at Escapology completed! Antitode was a smoother experience for us compared to other experiences with the company but probably due to the difficulty level of the room. Puzzles were fun and some took an extra step to complete that was not totally clear but with a little bit of exploring we managed to get out with plenty of time remaining. Perfect for to scratch an escape room itch without struggling too much! :)

Though not as hard as some of their other experiences we had a blast in here! We made it out with 32 minutes left (so we blew through it) but that is all thanks to us using the non linear gameplay to our advantage and splitting up. The puzzles all flowed together very well and everything made sense! The room itself was very cool in atmosphere with some cool nods to scifi pop culture and such!

Honestly had a hard time understanding any of the puzzles towards the later half of the room. The ambiance was cool and scary as it should have been but I unfortunately it couldn’t save the experience for my group and I.

Our last stop at Escape Effect was one that did not blow us as way still offered a good time. Great game for those well versed in Greek Mythology (but by no means is it needed to complete the game)! For a 90 minute experience there is actually not too many puzzles but the ones that are there definitely can fill the time. We were warned that there was a lot of math here…there was a good portion of it but mostly simple so no need to fret there :) The set of the game was solid! There was a decent use of space and the theme carried from room to room. Our biggest problem with this room was certain puzzles for a variety of reasons ranging from materials used to solve the puzzle, clarity of solutions and busy work. Though apart from those few we found the game flowed pretty well and would definitely work well with a group of three to four players. Overall a decent trip to round out our time with Escape Effect! Off to the next one :)

Very likely one of my favorite games at Dare2Escape so far! A great atmosphere enveloping some really cool puzzles mad this game really enjoyable for my group and I. Though some puzzles definitely needed help to fully understand after getting clarification everything flowed really well and made it a much better experience compared to some of their other games. Though it was apparently one of their hardest it certainly doable for a group that is open to hints but also has a decent amount of experience.

Another good experience from Escape Artists Orlando! Definitely a two person game with some fun puzzles along with a few with an occasional challenge. We had a lot of fun with the mix of mechanical and tech puzzles. Only downside was the ending felt very blunt and not conclusive. Overall though a good date night type game :)
